Destroyer - Star Conflict Wiki. Star Conflict: ships first Special module of Destroyers

Don't play this unless you want to be as disappointed as I was. At first it may seem bright and interesting, but you can see the deceitfulness of this feeling only after playing it for a long time. In this game there is little online and all the problems associated with it, there is no concept of unit balance as such.
Homing weapons and “press button 1 to kill” abilities take away all the excitement and sporting interest. Anal pumping (pay now or grindy for half a year for one top-end ship, but you need a lot of ships).
But all this is not so scary compared to the inadequate and unprofessional administration. Anyone can be banned for no reason. For example, for a good game. And these are real facts, in the old conflict there are actually players who were banned because they played too well.
Just imagine, you started playing this game, spent time, money, upgraded your ships and weapons, and you started to get good at playing. And then in the middle of the battle you receive a permanent account ban. Simply because something seemed to the inadequate admin, or came into his head, or he personally didn’t like you. And that's it, played, Messrs.
If you still have the idea of playing THIS, or even more so donating, don’t say that I didn’t warn you)

We congratulate you on the successful completion of the New Year's special tasks. All tasks set by Miss Frost and Klauss Inc. have been successfully completed. The First Destroyers, a new class of ships in Star Conflict, are available for production and operation by all pilots. Currently, pilots can only build and use Rank 8 Destroyers in battle. Destroyers of higher ranks will be commissioned in stages in the near future.

Destroyers

Destroyers are a new class of ships. Heavy fire support ship. Has high firepower. Can use additional energy shields and special weapon modules.

  • The first available Destroyers are at rank 8 in the ship development tree.
  • Destroyers need to be built.
  • For construction, a special component is required - neodium.
  • Neodium can be found in secret caches and ores of high-ranking locations in Open Space.
  • Receive as a reward for achieving ranks.
  • Receive in special container sets.

Empire destroyer "Invincible"

The Invincible line of ships was created during the second war for the Bartle sector and has been constantly improved since then. The faithful "workhorses" of the Imperial Space Fleet were used everywhere to provide fire support for offensive operations. Military doctrines changed, the fleet was updated, but Invincible always remained in service. Over the many years of production and operation, more than forty different models and countless modifications of the destroyer were created. The latest Invincible model is deservedly considered the strongest link in the modern fleet of the Empire.

Features of Empire Destroyers

  • More powerful hull than destroyers of other factions (100,000 units).
  • The shield is slightly weaker than that of destroyers of other factions (12,000 units).
  • 7% higher damage with primary weapons (by Imperial standards).
  • Additional bonuses when the synergy level increases.
  • Upon reaching level 2: resistance to thermal damage increases.
  • Upon reaching level 4: view radius/energy recovery/shield volume increases.

Federation destroyer Procyon

Only six months after the bankruptcy of Sol-X Inc, it became clear that the corporation was spying on the Federation shipyards for the Empire. By that time, the most valuable database with all the information about Federation ships was auctioned off. The private investor who bought it was soon discovered dead under strange circumstances. The further fate of the Sol-X database is unknown. More recently, the Procyon corporation, previously unknown to anyone, introduced a destroyer of the same name. Despite the fact that most experts are inclined to believe that Procyon was created precisely thanks to the Sol-X databases, the authorities were never able to bring any charges against the corporation. With its high-tech destroyer, the corporation won the government tender without any problems.

Features of Federation destroyers

  • The hull is slightly weaker than that of destroyers of other factions (75,000 units).
  • Stronger shield than destroyers of other factions (25,000 units).
  • The ship's speed is 20% higher than that of destroyers of other factions.
  • The ship's turning speed is 15% higher than that of destroyers of other factions.
  • You can install 3 “stationary field” objects, and not 2, like destroyers of other factions.
  • The base reserve and energy regeneration rate have been increased compared to destroyers of other factions.
  • Upon reaching level 2: resistance to electromagnetic damage increases.
  • Upon reaching level 4: ship speed increases/energy costs for acceleration decrease/turn speed increases.
  • Upon reaching level 8: an additional set of enhancements for suppression destroyer modules.

Jericho destroyer "Archon"

The Archon destroyer was first used in combat against the Aliens in 4616 by the Mendez family. The appearance of the prototype on the battlefield caused heated debate. The design of the destroyer was too reminiscent of the work of the great master Arthur Liu, who died in the crash of the Monolith. The surviving members of the Liu family accused Mendez of theft. However, the Council of Families, struck by the destructive power of the destroyer, did not listen to them. After the demarche of the Mendez family and their departure to the quarantine sectors, Archon became the basis of the striking force of their fleet.

Features of the Jericho destroyers

  • The hull is slightly weaker than that of destroyers of other factions (70,000 units).
  • Stronger shield than destroyers of other factions (35,000 units).
  • Faster shield recovery (+60 units per second) than destroyers of other factions.
  • Energy costs when activating “stationary field” objects have been reduced compared to destroyers of other factions.
  • Additional bonuses when the synergy level increases.
  • Upon reaching level 2: resistance to kinetic damage increases.
  • Upon reaching level 4: an additional set of enhancements for the main weapons.
  • Upon reaching level 8: an additional set of enhancements for suppression destroyer modules.

Destroyer Features

Destroyers have a special control mode:

  • Free camera.
  • The crosshair is always in the center of the screen.
  • The ship automatically turns towards the sight when you click on the "Look Around" button (default - Ctrl).

Destroyers have up to 12 guns:

  • Destroyers have developed their own guns.
  • No more than 8 guns from one side can fire at the same target at the same time.

Some parts of destroyers can be damaged in battle:

  • Combat modules: if damaged, they stop working.
  • Engines: if damaged, afterburner does not work.
  • Capacitor: if damaged, the special module does not work.

The destroyer's hull blocks the action of its modules:

  • Some destroyer modules are only effective on the side of the hull on which they are installed.

The shield covers the entire hull of the destroyer.

The color of the combat module on the destroyer’s hull depends on its level:

  • The design does not change the color of the module.

Special Destroyer Module

All destroyers belong to the new role "Suppression". A new special module has been developed for this role - the Energy Router. Redistributes energy flows in ship systems. Allows you to choose between increasing maximum speed, weapon damage, or restoring shield charge.

Armament

Destroyers use special weapons.

Railgun

  • Medium range kinetic weapon.
  • Has a growing spread.
  • Overheats.

Meson cannon

  • Meson emitter, medium range weapon.
  • Deals thermal damage.
  • Has an increasing rate of fire.
  • Has a growing spread.
  • Overheats.

Additional shields

Instead of standard missile weapons, the Destroyers are equipped with additional protective fields.

Stationary field

  • Creates a temporary directional shield.
  • Several additional temporary shields can be installed simultaneously in different directions.
  • The operating time of the additional shield is limited.

Modules

Added modules for rank 8 destroyers. When destroyers of higher ranks are commissioned, additional combat modules will be added.

Pyro emitter

Injects a cloud of charged particles, which then ignites and causes thermal damage to all ships in the area of effect.

Blaster Cannon

Automatically fires at enemies in the affected area. The charges cause thermal damage. In active mode, the rate of fire increases and the charges become explosive.

Multiphase shield

In passive mode, increases shield resistance. After activating the module, the resistance bonus increases.

Plasma Turret

Automatically fires at enemies in the affected area. The charges cause EM damage. In active mode, damage increases.

Launcher "Storm"

Fires homing missiles that strike targets within a guidance cone. Rockets cause thermal damage.

Wormhole Projector

Creates a wormhole flying in the specified direction. When reactivated or when the wormhole travels a certain distance, the ship passes through the remaining wormhole.

Open space

The summary of the flight results has been improved.

  • Now the number at the top shows how many credits the pilot received directly.
  • Revenue from the sale of trophies is reported as usual.
  • There is no total number of credits received for departure.

Added new system "Idra"

In ancient times, this system was the Federation's advanced springboard for the development of distant sectors. There were mines for the extraction of various ores, large factory complexes, and logistics routes. The Federation even had several shipyards here. However, in the last decade before the invasion, the region began to bring only losses: the mines were quickly depleted, and the long trade routes began to attract too many pirates. The Federation curtailed all activities as quickly as possible and sold its assets to private investors and corporations. The removal of valuable assets and dismantling of stations was never completed when the Hydra system was annexed to the Quarantine Zone.

Complex Naberiya-392

Previously, the factory complex on the planet Naberia was engaged in the production of equipment for the mining of asteroids. Mining and transport ships were built here, precision measuring equipment and plasma drills were produced. The most powerful magmatic power plant provided energy to the plant and all nearby mines. About fifty years ago, ore mining in the region became unprofitable, and the Federation curtailed all operations. The plant was closed and sold at auction.

System: Hydra
Minimum ship rank: 7

Northstar crash

An ancient service station, lost in low orbit of the planet Naberia-526, would have remained abandoned if not for the emergency. Robert Artego, captain of the dreadnought Northstar, made an emergency landing there. Artego hoped to find means of communication at the station and request assistance. His ship, damaged in battle first with Aliens and then with Pirates, made a hard landing. For many years, no one knew about the fate of Northstar, until the site of its crash was discovered by pirate raiders.

The location is located in closed Sectors on the border of the Empire and the Federation.
System: Hydra
Minimum ship rank: 7
Station protection: no effect

Ship production

Now the pilot can remake already built ships of secret projects and destroyers.

  • Now it is possible to change the set of slots for additional modules.
  • It is now possible to change ship bonuses.
  • The synergy of the rebuilt ship is not lost.
  • Reassembling the ship is carried out for credits.
  • No other resources are required.

The system for constructing ships of secret projects and destroyers has changed.

  • Now, in addition to choosing a special module, the player can choose a bonus at levels 4 and 8 of synergy.
  • Each ship now requires a fixed amount of resources, regardless of how many and what passive slots were selected.
  • The amount of resources is different for each ship.

Ship tree

The appearance of the ship tree has been significantly redesigned.

Features of the new ship tree:

  • Ship icons have a synergy scale.
  • The list of ships now scrolls vertically.
  • Each role has a separate column.
  • The requirements for purchasing a new ship have been changed.
  • It is necessary to buy and upgrade the previous ship in the tree to a certain level of synergy.
  • It is necessary to purchase a certain number of ships of previous ranks.
  • These requirements do not apply to Premium ships and DLC ships.
  • Premium ships and DLC ships count towards the purchase of other ships.

Hangar

The appearance of the Hangars on all sides of the conflict has undergone a number of changes.

  • Berths have been extended to accommodate Destroyers.
  • In the hangar, when a ship's combat slot (active modules and guns) is selected, the camera focuses on the location where the module is installed.
  • The hangars of Jericho and the Empire now have their own musical themes.

Miscellaneous

The Fleet Power icon has been improved.

  • The icon has been changed to match the new design of the ship tree.

The sorting order of tasks has been changed.

  • Now, the later a task is received, the higher it is on the list.

Chat

Added link processing.

  • The link is enclosed in square brackets.
  • The link is trimmed as necessary.
  • The link is yellow.
  • Clicking on a link opens it in the browser.

Additional effect after the end of the "Metastable Energy Field Generator" effect.

  • The ship that activated the effect has an additional 1.5 seconds of invulnerability after the field is removed.

Work on mistakes

Improved placement of ships in the Hangar.
Fixed a bug with the "Sword S" ship model.
Fixed errors in combat against a team of bots in the battle of dreadnoughts.
Fixed bugs with the inability to complete the quest.

Discussion on the forum

Sincerely,
Star Conflict Team

After New Year's events, destroyers, a new class of ships, appeared in the online space game Star Conflict. They are available to all pilots, however, at first, only rank eight destroyers can be used. More advanced ships will appear later.

The new destroyer class is a heavy fire support ship with high firepower and energy shields. Currently, destroyers are located at the eighth rank of the ship development tree. To build them, neodymium is used, mined in secret caches and ore from high-ranking locations in outer space. In addition, neodymium is mined from set containers and given as a reward for achieving ranks.

The Empire destroyer Invincible appeared during the second war for the Bartle sector. It was used for fire support for offensive operations. Since then, over forty modifications of the destroyer have been created.

Invincible has a powerful body, a weaker shield, increased damage and additional bonuses as the synergy level increases - thermal damage, viewing radius, energy recovery speed increase and it becomes possible to install an additional set of power-up modules.

The destroyer Procyon is available to the Federation. It was created by the Sol-X corporation, which, however, went bankrupt. However, all of her research has been preserved in databases. The destroyer is equipped with a weaker hull, but uses a strong shield, moves and turns faster than other destroyers. Stationary field modules are installed on the ship, and as the level of synergy increases, the resistance to electromagnetic damage, the speed of the ship, and an additional set of enhancements increase.

Jericho's destroyer Archon was used in battles with the Alien Mendez family. The design of the ship was similar to that invented by master Arthur Liu, who died in the crash. The Mendez family was accused of theft, but the Family Council ignored these accusations. As a result, these destroyers became the main striking force of the fleet. Destroyers are characterized by a weak hull, a strong shield with a high recovery speed, and with an increase in the level of synergy, they allow you to increase resistance to kinetic damage, as well as install additional sets of reinforcements for the main weapons and suppression destroyer modules.

Jericho destroyer Archon

There are three (plus one “special”) classes of ships in the game and all of them have their own characteristics and different “tastes”, plus, each class is divided into three subclasses - which gives a total of nine different “vessels”. Each ship has its own special module, which will determine its main characteristics - and this, in turn, will be with it until the very end.

So here is a list of ships, their basic modules and playstyles suitable for each type.

Interceptors

Interceptors in StarConflict They focus on speed, keep the hull and shields more or less balanced, and “cut” the amount of energy that ships of this class can use. The speed of Interceptors can be a serious irritant for Frigates - in addition, it is relatively easy for Interceptors to "bounce" into the "blind spot" of a Frigate's guns and deplete it. The weapons on Interceptors are the weakest among the three classes.

So, subclasses:

  • Interceptor-saboteur (Federation). The saboteurs have the highest initial speed and penetrating power among the Interceptors. Although he is very fragile, he is worth fearing in a one-on-one fight. Their special skill “Plasma Network” allows you to shoot and disappear from the enemy’s field of view - since the network continues to deal damage for some time (about 10 seconds). And if we also take into account the presence of a plasma cannon and a missile cannon, then the saboteur is quite capable of destroying an enemy Interceptor or Stormtrooper. Unfortunately, that's the only thing they're good for - so they're best suited for guarding a point in Beacon Capture and Control.
  • Electronic warfare interceptor (Jericho). The most “tank-like” of all Interceptors. Using their special ability - “Metastable Energy Field Generator” - makes the ship itself invisible, and after a few seconds emits a powerful EMP wave that disables the systems of nearby ships for several seconds. This ability can be used to make your opponents vulnerable to allies, to leave opponents unfit for battle, giving your team an advantage - or to "hide" if a fight does not go according to plan. Good to use in Force Reconnaissance mode.
  • Interceptor reconnaissance (Empire). Fast small ships that can quickly scurry around the map. A great subclass for capturing beacons and annoying the enemy. Although they are the most fragile and their firepower is rather modest, they should not be underestimated (especially if they act in a group). Best suited for Control and Reconnaissance, but it is also good for picking up bombs in Detonation - but keep in mind that using the Scout's special ability "Microwarp Drive" will lead to the loss of a bomb.

Stormtroopers

Stormtroopers are a more balanced game class StarConflict. They have a strong hull and shields, and the damage of their guns is decent. Stormtroopers - as the name implies - are more suitable for instantly and directly getting involved in battle and are not going to play tricks, like Interceptors do. They are slower than Interceptors and not as nimble and agile - but they are more durable.

Subclasses:

  • Stormbreaker (Federation). The only true stealth ship in the game, the Interdictor, makes it possible to suddenly start a battle - when no one was expecting it at all. Although the Defender is inferior in firepower to the Strike and Command, it is still a worthy ship with good survivability and situational usefulness. It is good to use for assault in Beacon Capture and Control. Very unsuitable for Detonation (“stealth” leads to the loss of bombs) and Reconnaissance in force (as a commander, the minelayer will still be visible to the enemy, and as a P2-poison ship, it will still be visible to the enemy commander).
  • Command Assault (Jericho). The most “stable” Sturmovik in terms of characteristics - with good firepower and tank. A special module (“Diffusion Shield”) absorbs all damage, but disappears if the energy runs out. But, in general, it gives a good ability to resist - and bonuses if the damage was caused in exactly the way from which protection was chosen. There is not much more to say, good for Control and Capturing Beacons.
  • Shock Trooper (Empire). The special module “Boosting Ship Systems” allows Strike Troopers to instantly “increase” their firing speed, movement speed, and energy recovery rate. It is recommended to use the Shock Trooper in Detonation - because it can “buff” both the possibility of destroying an enemy carrying a bomb and its own resistance to the attack. By the way, he won’t lose the bomb if he uses a special ability - and even “cancels” the speed penalty until its effect ends. In fact, drums are good for any other mode too - but here it depends on the tactics the team uses.

Frigates

In fact, they are real “space tanks” - they move slowly, turn slowly, but they cause very serious damage and are very, very strong.

Frigate subclasses Star Conflict:

  • Engineering Frigate (Federation). The only "close combat" frigate. Taking into account the special module “Combat Drones”, as a result you can have up to eight guns at your disposal with a range of about 1500 meters. Depending on the type of engineering Frigate, different tactics are possible - in one case, drones can restore shields, in another, they can shoot down missiles on the fly, which is very useful against covering Frigates. It will serve well when protecting beacons or when repelling beacons, in a team. But due to their low speed and agility, they can be destroyed by much smaller and nimble ships. So it's better not to use it to get the beacon alone.
  • Cover frigate (Jericho). One of the long-range ships, armed with homing missiles. The advantage is that the player can “go after” the enemy - or even send him a rocket from somewhere behind an asteroid. Rockets also work as an area attack - and when they explode, they will cause damage to everything within a radius of 500 meters. Great for attacking beacons, enemies “from afar” or “pressing” the enemy in principle. But, alas, a Frigate of this type is catastrophically slow and is only suitable for Capturing Beacons or Detonation, where Interceptors are most often the “carriers” of bombs.
  • Longwall Frigate (Empire). The name speaks for itself - long-range Frigates are local “snipers” and provide support from afar. In addition to “capturing” the target, a laser sight is also used. Since we are talking about “sniping,” you will have to aim a little higher than the target. Good for Detonation and Control. And the best option is Capturing lighthouses, where after destruction the ships can no longer be used again.

Destroyers

The most powerful class of ships available in StarConflict. They were added relatively recently and their main feature is that players need to build them themselves. But they have nine slots for modules, the modules are unique, up to 12 special weapons, a free camera mode and shields that cover the entire hull of the ship - isn’t it lovely?

Federation destroyers:

  • Procyon. High-tech, it has a body that is much weaker than that of its “class brothers,” but “wipes their nose” with the most powerful shield of all. Also, its speed is 20% higher than that of other Destroyers, and its turning speed is 15%. It is also distinguished by a large reserve of energy and the speed of its recovery.
  • Anthares. "Hardy". Relatively weak body, but powerful shield. Movement and turning speeds are 20% and 15% higher, respectively. Increased energy reserves and the speed of its recovery.
  • Sirius. "People's". The body and shield are more powerful than other Federation models. The rest is the same.

Destroyers of Jericho:

  • Archon. "Strike force." The hull is even weaker than that of the Federation Destroyers, but the shield is more powerful, which, moreover, is restored much faster.
  • Sybil. "Crusader". The body is weaker than that of its class brethren, but the shield is more powerful - and recovers faster than any other.

Empire Destroyers:

  • Invincible. “Workhorses”, having a more powerful hull than other Destroyers, but a less good shield. Increased damage with the main weapon.
  • Brave. Defensive Destroyer with a powerful hull and stronger shields than Invincible. Increased damage with the main weapon.

Control

The controls of the destroyer are special and will take some getting used to, for example, the camera here is cut off from the ship, the sight is always located in the center of the screen, and we can rotate the camera in any direction around the ship. It’s as if we see our ship from the side all the time and can control the direction of fire. The keyboard is responsible for the movement of the ship itself, but if you wish, you can return to the normal mode of controlling the ship using the “control” key, but in this case you must be prepared for the fact that you will be easily destroyed by lighter and more mobile enemy ships. The fact is that destroyers are not distinguished by their mobility, and the guns are positioned in such a way that the most powerful salvo is fired from the side, and not from the bow of the ship. So decide for yourself what is more important and convenient for you: the usual controls or the high damage of your ship.

Our tops:

Further, unlike other ships, a destroyer can not only be completely destroyed, but one of its parts can also be disabled. With a damaged engine, you will not be able to use the afterburner, and a damaged combat module cannot be activated; if your capacitor fails, then you will not be able to activate the ship’s special modules. This is another feature of the new ships. Now the player himself can regulate where to redirect his energy. If you need to defend yourself, then all the accumulated energy can be directed to power shields, and if you want to inflict more damage, then the energy can be directed to the ship’s guns and then the blow from all the guns will be truly crushing.

Weapons and combat skills

As for the weapons of these ships, only two types of guns are available to players so far. The meson cannon causes thermal damage to the enemy ship, much like the heavy lasers of frigates. The second weapon is the good old rail that deals kinetic damage. The total damage of the destroyer is truly enormous, but adding up this damage into a column and inflicting it on the enemy right away will not work. The fact is that the 12 guns of your ship are unevenly located and no matter where you shoot, all the guns will not work. The largest number of cannons are located on the sides of the ship and on the bow, but only a couple of cannons work up and down. So that the ship is not vulnerable in these blind projections, combat skills come to its aid. For example, automatic turrets fire at all approaching targets. And if the skill is activated, the damage of the turrets increases. Also helping the ship survive is a multiphase shield, which permanently strengthens the ship’s standard shields. And another interesting combat skill of the ship is the wormhole. This skill allows you to increase the mobility of the ship. The first time the skill is activated, the ship creates a tunnel in the direction of its course, and the second time it jumps through space. If you need to quickly escape an enemy attack, then you can’t think of a better way. The maximum range of such a jump is 5 kilometers. The so-called pyro-emitter will also help you in attacking the enemy. The ship creates a beam, which after a while ignites, causing enormous damage to everyone who did not manage to leave the affected area. And finally, the Burya missile system fires as many as 20 homing missiles that quickly find their prey. By the way, this is the only missile weapon available to destroyers, at least for now. Why can't other missiles be installed? And all because the compartment of the destroyer intended for missiles is occupied by a special shield, which moves with the ship and does not prevent it from firing at the enemy. This shield is ideal for frontal attacks, since it does not allow damage to the ship in the bow projection and forces the enemy to go around the destroyer, exposing itself to salvos from the side guns. But the trick is that this shield can be placed not only in the bow projection, but in the event of a surprise attack, it can be placed on any side of the ship.

How to assemble

In order to assemble a destroyer you will need a standard set of resources for crafting a ship and one special ingredient - iodium. You can get it in different ways. Previously, it could be obtained for completing New Year's tasks, but now it can be found in hidden caches of high-level locations. In general, if you set a goal, you can scrape up iodium. Once all the ingredients are ready, all you have to do is decide on the special skill of the ship and you can start making it.

These are the new ships in the game. It's up to you to decide how much the introduction of destroyers into the game made it more interesting, and with that we say goodbye to you. Good luck on the space battlefields!
