Review of the game dead by daylight. Dead by Daylight – survive at any cost. What is

People crave more than just fun and pleasure. It’s not so rare that they want to get on their nerves in various ways. Movies and games offer an opportunity to be in an extreme situation and remain unharmed. Therefore, lately more and more high-quality horror films have been produced, but with games the picture is somewhat different. A maximum of two decent game projects are released per year, everything else is the same type of clones of varying degrees of mediocrity. Dead by Daylight, the review of which you are now reading, and the release date of which a huge number of players were waiting for, definitely does not belong to the latter, but it has its own nuances.

Gameplay Basics

Let's start our review of Dead by Daylight with gameplay. In this game, users are divided into two opposing sides: survivors and maniacs. You can read more about the latter in our review of maniacs from Dead by Daylight. There can be a maximum of one maniac and four survivors in one session.

The maniac's task is clear - he must send all the people he meets along the way to the next world. The survivors, in turn, need to escape from the monster. Escape for people is possible only through the gate located at the location (or through a special hatch, if only one survivor remains) which can only be opened by supplying power to it. Electricity, in turn, can be generated by activating several generators scattered throughout the territory. The maniac knows the area and the location of all the generators well, but the victims have to act at random.

Generators are in faulty condition, and their repair takes a certain amount of time. The repair process in the game is implemented as follows: you need to press the button at the right moment; if it misfires, the progress scale is thrown back, and the maniac finds out the whereabouts of the unfortunate master.

Pursuers and Pursued

Survivors have a small cheat at their disposal: when the maniac approaches, players hear the sound of a gradually increasing heartbeat. In this case, there are two ways: either hide (for example, in one of the lockers scattered around the map), or run away from the murderer. In the second case, we advise you to be more careful, since the chances of falling into one of the maniac’s traps are high.

During the chase, you can and should take advantage of the maniac’s shortcomings, in particular, his clumsiness. In addition, users playing as maniacs and survivors differ in their field of view: the former see everything from a first-person perspective, while the latter see everything from a third-person perspective. Survivors can thus peer around corners without leaning out.

It should be noted in the Dead by Daylight review that with all the developers’ attempts to add advantages to the survivors, they win less than half the time. This is not least due to the fact that every time we play with random players who may turn out to be crayfish. You can only have fun with friends on Skype through a closed lobby.

Dead by Daylight review summary

This game project is characterized by enthusiasm, atmosphere and offers a rather interesting and popular setting. You will find here many recreated moments from famous slasher films. Unfortunately, the gameplay begins to become boring over time, since there is not much variety in the game. Another fly in the ointment is the inability to play side by side with your friends. Dead by Daylight review is complete.

See the system requirements of the game and become a survivor of a nightmare.

In the game review itself Dead by Daylight it becomes clear that this project is not particularly unique in its plot, it lacks a single-player campaign, but it does have exactly what distinguishes it from other games in the “survival horror” genre. It contains asymmetric multiplayer, which imposes a specific effect on the game itself. The graphics are not distinguished by the beauty of bright colors or excellent depiction of the characters, but the atmosphere of fear is 100% present. Of course, you’re not running from the stupid same type NPC enemy whose behavior can be easily “read” and in the future not fall into its traps. Now a cunning and experienced player is playing against you, who has all the “cards in his hands.” He will not repeat the same tactics over and over again, and he can set traps exactly where you least expect it.

In this game review Dead by Daylight, It was already mentioned above that there is practically no storyline in the game. As usual (in all American horror films), a group of young people, and not only others, found themselves in a terrible situation. They are at night in a creepy place (this place changes, for example: somewhere deep in the forest, in a fetid swamp or on a strange farm, as well as other places), and a local maniac begins to hunt for them. But that’s not all, the maniac is not an ordinary person, but a terrible creature with superpowers. To survive and escape from this terrible place, they will have to work together, help each other, find different objects and confuse their tracks for the killer.

Player in Dead by Daylight can choose who to play for 11 survivors who are victims. Each of the survivors has their own unique skills and abilities (for example: someone knows how to move quietly, someone is great at repairing equipment, and someone is fast and dexterous). Fleeing from a pursuer, the victim knows how to: overturn various kinds of boxes and objects; hide in various dark nooks or closets; repair and start generators; save your comrades by removing them from hooks; briefly blind the maniac with the light of a hand-held flashlight; use tools to break hooks. The victim learns that a maniac is approaching by an increased heart rate and the appearance of eerie music. All survivors are listed as missing and are on the wanted list in their cities. Each of them has their own destiny and each ended up in this terrible place due to their own strange circumstances. In addition to survivors, the player can also play as a killer. There are a total of ten characters to choose from (such as: Nightmare, Huntress, Cannibal, Witch, Nurse, Ghost, Doctor and others). Each killer character has super abilities, such as: seeing a triggered trap or phantom across the entire location, unhooking a victim, an explosion of a generator; fast movement and quick opening of drawers and cabinets; can detect where on the map the generator was repaired and others. Playing as a hero, you can collect and open special “ perks", additional learning skills (for example: " Your own doctor" - the player can heal himself, " Crusher"- the ability to break hooks, for killers can get caught" Deer Hunter“- helps to see the wounded victim across the entire map).

In the game review Dead by Daylight, After a successful victory, players earn blood points, which they can spend on improving their abilities, buying different items or learning special skills." perkam". It is worth noting that the lack of an interesting plot and the same type of gameplay quickly gets boring. But if you gather your team and play harmoniously in asymmetric multiplayer, the game will “drag in” you for a long time.

And ) . Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade and Dead by Daylight and another thing - both were created on Unreal Engine 4, both belong to the multiplayer action-shooter genre, but this is probably where all the similarities end. Games are as different as heaven and earth.

And if WH40K: Eternal Crusade is more like a heaven where fallen crusaders are greeted, then Dead by Daylight- definitely land. Don't think anything bad - not in the sense of being bad. It's just always dark and damp here, like a freshly dug grave. It’s cozy here, like in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and a great many other similar franchises and films: “Friday the 13th”, “The Amityville Horror”, “The Hills Have Eyes”, “Wrong Turn”, “The Hitcher”, “Jeepers Creepers” , “House of Wax”, “Cabin in the Woods”…

In short, it’s clear: a small group of young people (the company must include athletes, losers, jesters, excellent students, etc.) end up on a lake, an old farm, or in an abandoned mansion, where some Jason Voorhees lives, cutting off the heads of all the famous machete. At the end of the film, as a rule, one or two people remain alive. You've seen one film and you know what will happen in the others. And you can already guess what awaits you in Dead by Daylight.

Dead by Daylight- asymmetrical multiplayer PvP action-shooter in the survival horror genre. Four survivors find themselves locked in a procedurally generated location (there are three maps, but procedural generation diversifies them - details such as item spawn points, the placement of buildings and other gameplay things change every game). Together or alone, the victims must turn on the generators and escape. The goal of the fifth player, the killer maniac, is to find and kill survivors. Despite the rather primitive and very cliched setting in the movie, in the game format Dead by Daylight looks original. Evolve, which recently became free, is a little different from that. It was vaguely similar, for example, in Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor, only in those series the main mode is still cooperative, and not PvP. And PvP itself is equal there, 4x4 or 6x6.

The highlight of DBD is not in the idea, but in the 4x1 PvP format. Endure not the most successful matchmaking (more on that below), and the game will thank you for your suffering. The reward is pure adrenaline. Here you are hiding in a dark corner, listening to your heart beating wildly - a maniac is somewhere nearby. He stomps around and seems to be leaving... Suddenly, another victim runs into your hiding place, and the killer notices both of them. Here he is already running after you, catching up, stabbing you in the back with a bloody cleaver and, throwing it over his shoulder, drags you onto the hook. And, bleeding on the hook, you will hope for salvation. After all, comrades in trouble can unhook each other, pull each other out of a bear trap, heal...

Or they may leave you to die. Well-coordinated team play is an ideal, and quite achievable. But often the match turns into a panicked booth - everyone is running, hiding and just fussing around, not paying attention to the team. After all, in Dead by Daylight everyone for themselves. In principle, this is how it should be - complete freedom of action. Look at DayZ, it's the same there. You can find an adequate partner and get a lot of loot with him, or you can give a wounded tramp the last bandage and, turning away, get a bullet in the back of the head from him. The social factor also plays a role in Dead by Daylight. Save someone by getting them off the hook, and don't expect your debtor to repay you in kind. Maybe he'll just run by.

Team play is designed to provide unique abilities for each of the four victim characters. Dwight has leadership qualities; in his presence, generators are repaired faster. Fast Meg distracts the maniac better than others, Claudette treats the wounded, Jake quietly moves and breaks traps with hooks. Of course, maniacs are also different. The Hunter swings a cleaver and sets traps, the Ghost can become invisible, and the Hillbilly, using a chainsaw, can catch up with Usain Bolt. Note that the survivors play from the third person, and the maniac - from the first. To maintain balance, the developers have reduced the killer's field of view.

In general, the sophisticated pumping system also looks balanced. Play smarter by performing more useful actions and getting more experience points for it. Experience is needed to study the Bloodstream (Bloodweb) - skills of two types are gradually revealed there (three unique ones for each survivor and maniac, and a bunch of common ones for both sides), offerings (the effect of which extends to the entire team), equipment and improvements for it (say, a more powerful lamp and battery for a flashlight, or a rusty chain and oil for a chainsaw). In version 1.0.2, the developers carried out a massive rebalance, which at first caused a lot of negativity (they say, it’s not early access and not an alpha version, why change everything?), but now everyone seems to have calmed down and gotten used to it. By the way, you can upgrade not only your abilities, but also your character’s appearance by exchanging levels for prestige and getting bloody clothes and a broken face for it. Veterans Dead by Daylight However, they differ from lost students not in their bloody “clothes”, but in their knowledge of game mechanics and work for the team.

In general, the main problem Dead by Daylight not in the randomness of teams and matches. As we have already said, the social factor takes place. It's not the developers' fault that selfish people are playing with you. By the way, it happens quite the opposite, when a kind maniac offers to farm experience. The developers' fault lies elsewhere - in the matchmaking system. Until recently, it was impossible to play with friends in public matches - only in private and without experience points. Or you had to run around the rooms looking for a friend, pressing “join a lobby” at the same time. We didn’t get into one room, it rained, we try again...

In patch 1.0.4 they finally added the ability to survive together with a friend, but the problem of “leavers” is still annoying. Many leave after the start of the game, reducing the chances of the entire team. Or, if a maniac comes out (he is always the host), then the game ends completely. There are also complaints about the balancer, which can bring together players of significantly different levels into one team. The ranking system more or less ensures order and team play, but only in the company of high-ranking players. But for a newbie Dead by Daylight initially he will have a low rank, and he will have to play with low-ranking players like himself, but often pumped up. This, of course, can discourage interest, as can the abundance of cheaters. The developers are aware of the problems and promise to fix everything.

There are other things that need improvement. The biggest complaints from players are optimization and general bugginess. Dead by Daylight. Errors when connecting to the lobby, missing or flickering textures... Most likely, Behavior Interactive will handle it. Patches are released regularly (one every two weeks), the developers themselves conduct streams and communicate with the gaming community - we think that soon Dead by Daylight will, as they say, be brought to fruition. New maps, new victims and maniacs will appear... Russian-speaking players are already happy: in patch 1.0.4 Russian localization appeared, albeit not of the highest quality (some things are translated as if by “Promtom”, much is not translated at all, some words creep into each other on a friend, etc.).

In any case, today Dead by Daylight Thanks to its novelty (in a rare game you can imagine yourself as Ed Gean or Ronald DeFeo Jr.!) and the thick, depressing atmosphere, it differs from many survival games and gives a lot of impressions mixed with adrenaline. People have always loved to be scared, and it is no coincidence that in less than two months Dead by Daylight, according to the SteamSpy service, sold about 800,000 copies (at the time of publication of the article). An unconditional success for Behavior Interactive. Surprisingly, the game went virtually unnoticed by the specialized press - only 13 reviews on Metacritic.

We'll be sharing the results of the performance test soon. Dead by Daylight conducted by our test studio. And in a few days we will publish the results of the focus test and the results of testing the usability of gamepads.

    Dead by Daylight review

    https://site/wp-content/plugins/svensoft-social-share-buttons/images/placeholder.png

Dead by Daylight is the second game from Canadian developer Behavior Interactive reviewed by our test studio. The pioneer was Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, which we tested twice (on Unreal Engine 4.10 and 4.11). Similar to Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade and Dead by Daylight and more - both were created on Unreal Engine 4, both belong to the multiplayer action-shooter genre, […]

We also know from ancient legends that came to us from Sumerian cuneiform that nothing good comes from online horror. Kim Jong-un said the same thing at the recent congress of the DPRK Workers' Party: “MMO horror is a bad idea, comrades, because you need to be scared purely individually.” Well, here, therefore, is Dead by Daylight - a completely online and extremely collective horror film on the eternal theme of cartoonish maniacs and useless, office-based hipster teenagers who are incapable of anything. You will find out how it all turned out if you take the risk of reading our material.

So, Dead by Daylight is a game from Behavior Digital, not the most famous studio in the world. A game that paid for itself in the first week of sales, when it sold about 270 thousand copies. The first place in the weekly Steam TOP immediately after release indirectly confirms the optimism of the developers and publishers from Starbreeze Studios. In short, the project was successful.

It just so happened that little was written about this game, little was said. The main attention was paid to a very similar project called Friday the 13th, which carried out an excellent crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter and constantly stayed on the front page due to the filming of the film of the same name, where Jason Voorhees will once again enter the arena. But it turned out that the competitors came to the rescue a little faster, and now Dead by Daylight will be perceived as the first and main game in this genre, and its followers will be compared with it.

The meaning of the gameplay is simple: in a fairly vast location there are four potential victims and one terrible maniac. It should be noted that the location is created using a procedural generation system, so it will be impossible to learn it, and regulars who have the opportunity to memorize all the entrances and exits lose a head start. In addition, the location was shrouded in a thin fog, and was fairly overgrown with grass, in which you can hide perfectly. Well, it would probably be redundant to say that all events take place at night. But the moon is shining in the sky, so it’s not as dark as you can see, so there’s no need for torches or flashlights.

Locations in Dead by Daylight are generated randomly, so you won't be able to remember them

This is, so to speak, for starters - banality and banality - but then very original things come.

For example, you will be surprised, but the maniac and the victims see the game differently: hipster students give the operator a third-person view of the surroundings, while playing as a maniac, you will have to look at what is happening from a first-person view. This imposes certain obligations: hipsters will receive an additional overview, and will be able, for example, to check whether the character has hidden in the bushes well enough, or whether part of his body is treacherously sticking out? The maniac, in turn, will have to constantly turn his head, because he sees only the picture in front of him, while the victims (especially experienced and cunning ones) will run behind him and go about their business.

The hipsters' task is to launch several generators that will open the way to escape. The psychopath's job is to prevent them from doing this. And here, in the field of such difficult relationships, two new gameplay features emerge. The fact is that a maniac cannot just kill his victim, while the victim cannot kill the maniac at all. The key to victory for a hipster victim is to run away, but the maniac first needs to neutralize the unfortunate teenager a little, and then drag him to a special place where the slaughter process will take place. In other words, before you is not just a maniac, but an ideological maniac, sacrificing his prey to higher powers. To do this, he hangs them on hooks, the kind you might see in a meat slaughterhouse, after which they will be carried into the sky by a completely mystical creature, owing its origin to either H.G. Wells or Howard Lovecraft. At the same time, the procedure for delivering an object to the “altar” is quite a complicated thing. The victim can break free, or his teammates can help him do so.

In general, this is not just an online action game, but a tactical, online action game. And even with role-playing elements. Yes, yes, heroes can be upgraded. With each new level, your character can learn new abilities. For example, you can see the necessary objects on the minimap, or carry more traps with you.

Need I mention that Dead by Daylight is a team game, and without team action a positive result cannot be achieved, because one of the main, and, by the way, most dangerous tasks is to distract the maniac. You can distract alone, but it’s better with two. While someone is distracting, the rest are repairing generators and climbing through boxes in search of something useful. Here it should be noted that the maniac runs slower than the hipster victim, however, when distracting, you should not forget, keep your distance and have in mind some kind of mini-labyrinth of communications where you can run and confuse your tracks.

A maniac cannot simply kill the victim, and the victim cannot harm the maniac at all

In general, the game is fun and dynamic, but most importantly - scary. Many people really scream loudly when they are grabbed and dragged on hooks by a maniac. And even before that, there will be enough reasons to shout, because no matter how hard you try, no matter how you peer into the darkness, an experienced maniac will always find an opportunity to surprise and emerge from behind the nearest bushes in the most unexpected way. In general, Dead by Daylight is a truly frightening game, and, I must say, it copes with this function no worse than many prominent representatives of the horror genre.

Well, the game is also really inexpensive, which over time can make it truly popular. Maybe if it weren’t for the traditional fly in the ointment, which we’ll talk about now.

Yes, Dead by Daylight is full of flaws. This is not to say that it is directly woven from them, but the game, to put it mildly, is far from ideal.

To begin with, it should be noted that although the game was called ready, it still gives the impression of an extremely crude product that has already broken away from the status of an alpha version, but has not reached beta. This can be seen in everything from the clumsy animation to the huge number of cheaters, which are one of the main reasons for Dead by Daylight receiving negative reviews on Steam. But the most important one, of course, is technical errors, in other words, bugs that cause textures to get stuck, mined items to disappear from the inventory, and sometimes you have to sit in the lobby for several minutes.

In addition, something needs to be done with the variety of gameplay, because after a few days of training, running away from a maniac will become very easy, while the maniac himself will find it more and more difficult every day to catch his victim. Therefore, when the initial delight passes, over time an understanding of all the game’s secrets appears, and, as a result, the “victims” dance around the maniac and repair the generators with amazing efficiency, managing to press the spaces in time. All this suggests that, most likely, either the maniac will be made stronger, or his victims, as they say, will be nerfed.

Well, the animation is also just very crooked. You just begin to believe in the reality of what is happening, when some absurd action, such as a maniac hanging a victim not on a hook, but on an empty place, immediately returns you to your world, and you realize that this is just a game in front of you. This is about the proper quality of graphics, when some people are starting to say that graphics are not important.

The most infuriating moment is when someone playing as a maniac leaves a losing game.

To summarize the material, we can say that Dead by Daylight is a high-quality online, frightening action game with a tactical bent that will keep your nerves on edge from beginning to end. However, this action seems to have been lifted from the bottom of the sea: it smells damp, like a bunch of algae. What can we say if the game does not have basic protection against premature exit from the “match”. The thing is that a gamer playing as a maniac, when he sees that things are bad for him, that the team that is resisting him is experienced and well-coordinated, and that the generators are about to be repaired, he simply leaves the game, which immediately stops and all the work of recent, failed victims goes to waste. They do not receive rewards, do not gain experience, and all that remains for them is to furiously send curses at their cunning and at the same time weak-willed opponent.

But, be that as it may, this is a rather rare example of a project that is worth the money. They ask for very little for all this (a little more than $6 when the discount ends), and the emotions and gaming experience that you can get in the process of hectic running around under the moon are worth the cost. But, of course, only if you are a fan of this kind of thing. If you have never particularly liked such games, then starting with Dead by Daylight, expecting some unprecedented revelations from the gameplay, is hardly worth it, because, unfortunately, there are a lot of annoying, purely technical moments in the game.

Pros: a real horror movie, the need to use your brain and demonstrate tactical skills, a pretty nice picture, unusual game mechanics and a low price.

Cons: a large number of bugs, partial imbalance, low online (at the moment) and repetitive gameplay monotony.

Our rating: 6 points.

The studio Behavior Digital Inc. set out to rectify the situation by releasing a multiplayer game on Steam called Dead by Daylight, which is based on the old (like the film “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) idea of a confrontation between a group of people and an insane maniac.

Did the creators manage to bring into their project the spirit of those horror films of the early 2000s? How successful was the Canadian studio in combining the concept of horror and online gaming? This is what we will try to find out in this review.

Four in the field, not counting the maniac

Surprisingly, only thirteen years later did computer game developers decide to create projects based on the films “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “Wrong Turn.”

But in contrast to the console Until Dawn, the studio Behavior Digital Inc. Dead by Daylight focused its efforts on gameplay, paying almost no attention to the story. In general, such a decision can be understood and accepted - in online games everything related to history is one way or another relegated to the background.

Even before the release, the developers published concept art in which they briefly talked about the world of the game.

You shouldn’t expect them to have the depth of development of some Metal Gear Solid, but it’s still better than nothing.

So, there is a randomly generated level, four terrified “survival” players and one terrible and not at all kind maniac player. And their tasks are radically different: the first must, by some miracle, survive this whole nightmare and get out of the killer’s possessions, while the second in every possible way prevents them from achieving their goal.

The little people, naturally, cannot resist the monster except fast running and a flashlight. The “Teamwork” item would look good on this list, but you can forget about it in Dead by Daylight, since it is not there for one simple reason: the developers did not provide any functions for communication. You won't be able to greet your allies in chat or talk to them using a headset, and this doesn't have the best effect on the quality of the multiplayer game.

Perhaps the developers in such a creative way made fun of the eternally stupid lone heroes of horror films, but in the game itself, believe me, you will not be laughing.

It is worth considering the fact that survivors most often begin their journey alone at different ends of a rather large map. Therefore, most games end before they even begin.

Firstly, the game itself is atmospheric and creepy. When you hear the howl of a chainsaw somewhere in the distance, your heart begins to beat at breakneck speed in time with the heart of the main character. Secondly, the allies, for the most part, do not care about you, and they will fulfill the main goal (starting generators), no matter what, and try to save their own skin alone.

With this approach to business, nothing good should be expected, so in most matches, all team members with a 90% probability will be hooked, and the game will end happily in favor of the killer.

There is only one mode: survivors must start the generators (there are five of them) and try to escape through the opened gates from this crazy place. I would like to believe that in the future the developers will add some kind of “meat” mode like “Ten players against three maniacs,” but for now there is no talk of this.

The killer's task is the opposite: to prevent impudent little people from escaping from their possessions. Moreover, over banal murders, as it turns out, they prefer sacrifices to a certain (with the elaboration of the game world in Dead by Daylight, things are so-so) arachnid monster.

At the same time, you cannot get out of the trap yourself and, in theory, your allies should have time to free you, who in the meantime are starting up the generators (and they don’t care about your problems). However, the almost complete absence of team play is not the worst feature of Dead by Daylight, and gradually you can even get used to it.

But what you can’t come to terms with is the disgustingly organized connection to the lobby, from which someone constantly leaves. Therefore, when exactly you can start the game depends entirely on your luck - after five seconds or, more likely, after five minutes.

This is where the technical misadventures are just beginning - the fact is that the “killer” is always the host, and it is the gamer playing for him who creates the lobby. And if you have a “gray” IP, then you won’t be able to “maniac” in ranked matches, since the game will search for people endlessly to no avail.

Although, if we put aside the general lack of development, it turns out that Dead by Daylight is far from the worst multiplayer horror game, especially since it simply has no sane competitors in this genre. Everything here is literally based on emotions, as befits any horror film. Despite the fact that you understand with your mind that the killer is essentially the same player, you still succumb to panic, and when the character’s heart begins to tap dance (namely, by the heartbeat you can tell how close the maniac is), you take off and run , wherever the eyes look.

But running blindly is not the best tactic, and you won’t earn many experience points this way, so sooner or later, you have to use a sober mind and approach survival wisely. Doing this is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance - of course, two swings of a chainsaw/staff/sledgehammer (underline as appropriate) is enough for a maniac to fall to the ground, but even failed matches are not useless and will add experience to the character’s treasury, for which you can buy additional useful abilities and items.

Upgrading one of the four characters (the three available maniacs can also be upgraded and are full-fledged characters with their own abilities and skills) is simple and pleasant.

In order to raise a level, it is enough to “buy” all available skills for special “bloody” points, after which the character will automatically move to the next level and gain access to a new, randomly generated skill line.

Obviously, in the horror genre, visual and sound accompaniment plays an important role. Everything is fine with them: the eerie music in Dead by Daylight is designed in the style of relatively old horror films, and the graphics, although not full of technology, are pleasing to the eye and allow you to at least believe in what is happening, despite the low-resolution textures.

The system requirements are appropriate, and in order to run the game on “ultra” graphics settings, an Intel Core i3-4170 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 760 or higher video card will be enough.

At first glance, you might think that the maps are full of details, but this is not entirely true, and after a dozen matches you come to the understanding that each generated level is like a twin brother to the previous one.

Conclusion

Apparently, the year risks becoming the best one for fans of horror games. There is every reason for this: Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th: The Game, Outlast II...

However, the start in the form of Dead by Daylight turned out to be quite good. Perhaps the developers decided to release it from the Early Access stage too early, but Behavior Digital Inc. They have already realized their mistakes, and now both minor hotfixes and major updates are released on Steam almost every day.

And the only thing that can hinder the further success of the game is the gamers themselves, who may simply get bored with such a pastime and leave in search of other entertainment. Although this is unlikely to happen in the near future, we still need to look for a second such multiplayer project in which you can feel like the hero of a horror film.

Verdict: Dead by Daylight is perhaps the only opportunity at the moment to feel like a hero of old films about maniacs. But right now there is a high chance of neglecting this opportunity, since the game is still in the secret “Early Access” stage and is unstable.

Rating: 6.5 (“Not bad”).
