XVM has been the favorite mod of most tankers for many years, and its list of features extends from displaying player statistics to global changes to the World of Tanks interface towards greater convenience.

This global modification covers hundreds of different aspects of the game. Improving the interface, adding new functions to it, displaying statistics, the widest possibilities for customization... The mod is truly huge and is constantly supported by the authors, so new versions are released almost immediately after the release of a fresh patch.

It is very difficult for a beginner to understand the variety of possibilities, but most of the functionality works out of the box, that is, just by installing XVM, you can already play. Let's look at the main features of the Olenemer.

Showing player statistics

Perhaps this is the most popular part of the XVM eXtended Visualization Mod functionality. In World of Tanks, millions of tankers monitor their own statistics very closely and its influence on the community has never been higher. But you can only view the player’s achievements on external sites or in the hangar; in battle, statistics are not available, because only the player’s nickname, the name of the tank and its icon are in the ears. XVM succinctly, without changing the standard ear display style, adds information about the statistics of each of the 30 tankers in battle.

By default, the number of battles is shown, the rating (not the one created by Wargaming (although it can also be included), but one of the old ones, RE, WN6, WN8 and others), as well as the percentage of victories. Another feature is that when the ears are in minimal condition, the name of the tank glows in a separate color, corresponding to the rating indicator used. The player can customize the color gradation; by default, players are divided into red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise and purple. The closer to purple, the better the tanker performs on the battlefield.

  • the official Wargaming rating, known as the Personal Player Rating or PRI;
  • xTE - this calculator is aimed at showing the skill of a tanker specifically on the vehicle on which he went into battle;
  • WN6, an old calculator, but still used by some tank crews;
  • WN8, new version of WN6 and WN7;
  • EFF, ranking created by wot-news. It is better known to players as RE - Efficiency Rating.

Attention! Immediately after installation, statistics will not work, because the XVM developers have disabled their display by default. To activate, you need to go to the official website of Olenemer (a link to it will be visible in the system chat in the hangar when entering the game), then log in to it under your tank account and click on the button at the top in the “Activate Services” menu. Activation lasts for two weeks, after this period the statistics will need to be updated.

OverTargetMarkers - markers over vehicles

Now few people will remember, but it was with the change in markers that the creative path of the Olenemer developers began. Initially, the markers did not shine with special functionality and convenience, which is why the XVM team set out to change and supplement them.

Now, in 2016, markers are completely customizable; using the XVM settings, the user can remove or add some information. The level of the vehicle, its name, player nickname, number of hit points, clan, flying damage received, etc. There is a huge amount of data, but the developers have made sure that the most valuable information is shown by default.

Markers are one of the most important parts of the combat interface in the game, because they display summary information about the vehicle.

HitLog - log of damage caused

Damage logs, both incoming and outgoing, have long been popular among tankers, because in battle it’s damn interesting to know exactly how many hit points you’ve deprived the enemy team of.

  • number of successful penetrations;
  • the name of the machine and an indicator of whether it remained operational or was destroyed;
  • total HP shot down by the player and the amount of damage from the last shot;
  • total values: penetration, last damage and its total value.

Like all other elements of XVM, the damage log is also customizable, and experienced users have a variety of macros and HTML support to choose from. By editing the config, you can make the log minimalistic or more informative, at your choice.

Adding clan icons and individual tankers to player lists

The developers of Olenemer have added the ability to assign clans or individual players their own icon in the ears. This can be absolutely any picture, but most often official clan icons are used for display, for example, from the TOP 100 list of the most successful communities. To add your own picture, you need to copy it to res_modsxvmresclanicons<нужный регион><иконка игрока или класса>.

Thanks to this feature, players will immediately notice that members of some popular community, for example, the Red Alliance, have entered the battle. Of course, you can mark absolutely any clan with your icon if necessary.

Changing the base capture strip and light icon

The battle ends in three cases: when all the team’s tanks are destroyed, the battle time has expired, or one of the bases is captured. During capture, a progress bar appears on the screen, but its standard version is not particularly informative. XVM allows you to change it, but not only visually, but also with the addition of new functions. You can activate the display of the number of players standing in a circle and even display the remaining time. Please note that the remaining seconds are not shown with 100% accuracy; there is a slight error.

The bar is configured using HTML markup, so all components of displaying the capture progress can be easily changed.

When installing the standard XVM package, without editing configs, the function of displaying indicators of the enemy team's light will also be active. If the enemy has not yet been detected, then the field on the right next to the vehicle icon will be empty; if it was in the light, but left, then a yellow light will appear and a white light will appear if it is lit now. But keep in mind that these indicators may affect frame rates on some PC configurations.

Extended minimap in XVM

The developers of Olenemer also paid attention to the minimap; its list of capabilities has expanded, thanks to which the player receives much more information from the battlefield. By the way, it was thanks to the mod developers that the game creators understood in which direction to develop the minimap and in recent patches the XVM functionality is partially included in the game.

Let's talk about the minimap capabilities that are not yet built into the standard World of Tanks client. You can turn on the technique drawing circle. If the enemy’s vehicle is within its borders, then it will be visible on the battlefield; otherwise, the tank will only appear on the minimap. Other new features include a zoom setting. In the standard client, the minimap increases when you press Shift+, but now its enlarged version will be visible when you hold down the Shift button, without the plus sign.

The expanded minimap also included other useful innovations, such as indicating the camera direction, Horizontal Aiming Angles, viewing circle, marks of enemies emerging from the light, as well as captions under tanks. Some of these elements are already included in the game, but thanks to XVM everything is customizable in detail. Remember, the minimap is the most important part of the game interface and expanding the information received from it will increase, with due attention, the chances of winning.

By the way, one of the cheats (prohibited mods) will include enemies on the minimap.

Replacing the Sixth Sense Bulb

In addition to the functional changes in WoT, the XVM developers have added the ability to replace the Sixth Sense perk icon. This skill is the most important, as it lets the tanker know in a slightly cheating way that he has just been exposed. In the vast majority of cases, this perk is downloaded first, since its benefits are difficult to overestimate. Owners of light tanks and tank destroyers were especially pleased with this innovation, because they are extremely vulnerable. But there is one small problem - the standard light bulb icon is too dim, so in XVM you can easily change it to your own.

To do this, you need to go to the folder res_mods/mods/shared_resources/xvm/res/ and drop a new icon here, its name should be like this: SixthSense.png. Look carefully at the image format, no jpg or jpeg will do, you only need png. We advise you to choose an icon with a red color, then you will definitely never miss it.

Innovations in the hangar

The changes also affected the hangar room. In addition to displaying the clock, you can activate an expanded tank carousel. Owners of hundreds of units of military equipment experience slight difficulties in finding the right vehicle, despite the fact that Wargaming, in one of the previous patches, added a cool filter by nations, levels and classes.

In XVM you can easily expand the carousel by changing one row to two or three. This will increase the number of cars on one screen. Like all other elements of the Deer Messenger, the carousel is also customizable. The position of the tanks, the order of nations, icons, scale, transparency - everything can be changed to your taste.

How to configure XVM Mod?

Olenemer has a truly amazing settings system, where you can change almost all components of the mod. Details of the display of markers, statistics, turning on and off of individual functions, the position of elements on the screen and much, much more.

All configs are divided into separate files corresponding to one or another part of the XVM functionality. For example, a separate config has been created to configure the carousel, markers, statistics, etc. In addition, when editing, Russian-language comments are visible, describing in detail all the functions of the mod. It’s as easy as shelling pears to figure out, you just need to spend a little time sharpening the Olenemer for yourself.

In the video below, the author explains how the setup is carried out. By the way, pay attention to other videos from the playlist, with their help you can customize XVM even more.

How to install XVM eXtended Visualization Mod for 1.5.1.1

Before downloading XVM for WoT, select the desired installation option, either archive or using the installer.

  • First option: download the installer, launch it, specify the path to the game client.
  • Second option: download the archive and copy its contents to the directory with World of Tanks.

If you have any problems during installation, watch these two videos, each of them explains a different installation method.

Installation from archive:

Changes:

  • Updated again, updated HP mod, VN8 and HVM mod. The fight should not hang. IMPORTANT! Bet on a clean client and then roll out mods.

Description:

Deer Measuring is the most popular mod for many tankers. According to statistics from the XVM website, it is used daily by more than three and a half million players around the world. Its popularity is due to the fact that it allows you to see the following information:

  • player efficiency rating when loading a battle and in the battle itself
  • their win percentage
  • number of fights
  • estimated chance of winning the battle taking into account all the indicators above

All displayed information can be configured in configuration files and displayed, for example, not the overall percentage of a player’s victories for all tanks, but only for a specific one, and so on. All this made Deer Measuring highly customizable and a very popular mod.

It is made on the basis of XVM for World of Tanks 1.6.0.0, which is also a very popular modification, because it allows the player to completely change the game interface and add the following improvements to it, without which a modern tanker simply cannot play:

  • damage log
  • smart mini-map with all the necessary data and indicators
  • tank light indicator in ears
  • base capture indicator, showing how many invaders are on the base and how soon it will be captured
  • modified markers above the equipment
  • ping in the hangar and on the login screen

And this is only the main part of the functionality of the mod. It still hides a lot of tricks and jokes that you can learn over time by using it. This page presents the deer meter for World of Tanks 1.6.0.0, also called the user meter, in the latest version and with the most detailed instructions for setting up and installing each of its components.

In order for you to install and configure the deer meter as comfortably as possible, our website team has done the following for you:

  • manual installation as an archive
  • automatic installation using a convenient and thoughtful installer

But remember one truth, once you install the deer meter for WOT 1.6.0.0, you set yourself up for further torment and burning of chairs. After all, you will actually find out how many crayfish live in the World of Tanks universe.

Based on numerous requests from visitors to our portal, it was decided to make two options for installing the deer meter, because not everyone has good PCs, and for some XVM functions to work, additional resources are needed, which, unfortunately, are not available on a weak PC. Therefore, both in manual and automatic installation mode, two options will be available:

  1. Deer gauge Full
  2. Deer gauge Light

The Full version will include all the mods that can be included in XVM, the Light version will only have a deer meter and a hit log. So if you are the owner of a weak PC, we advise you to install “Deer Measuring Light”. To configure additional XVM features, open the "Add-ons for Reindeer Measuring" folder and there you will find a settings file for:

  • informative carousel in 2 or 3 rows,
  • installation of standard vehicle markers
  • different types of damage log
  • manual switching of ratings

In our deer meter build, we use a tool for switching ratings right in the hangar, which was developed by famous player ProTanki. In order to change the rating displayed in the deer meter, you just need to click F6 and after that you will see the following message.

With this modification you can change the rating to one of the following:

  • eff - four-digit efficiency rating (PE);
  • xeff - two-digit efficiency rating (PE);
  • wn6 - four-digit WN6 (Wot-news);
  • xwn6 - two-digit WN6 (Wot-news);
  • wn8 - four-digit WN8;
  • xwn8 - two-digit WN8;
  • wgr - four-digit rating from WG;
  • xwgr - two-digit rating from WG;
  • xte - two-digit rating taking into account average damage and number of frags;
  • r - rating configurable on the official website (more details below);

After updating XVM to version 6+, it became possible to switch reindeer hunter ratings directly on the official website of the modxvm mod, in your account settings.

In the latest update, we added this feature to our ratings switching mod. In order to change the displayed rating on the site, you first need to enable this feature in the hangar by pressing the key F6 and switching the rating to "r" (look at the picture below).

After that, follow these steps:

  1. Go to modxvm.com;
  2. Log in to your personal account;
  3. Go to Settings;
  4. Select to display your preferred rating.

In the installer, you can enable or disable each of its elements, which allows you to customize the mod as finely as possible. You can install only a deer gauge and that’s it, or you can install the maximum package of all add-ons that will help you in the game.

As many people know, a large number of modifications have been created for World of Tanks that in some way affect the course of the game. Some mods improve the abilities of armored vehicles, others amuse the player with their voice acting, but the most popular can be considered XVM or referred to in the inner circles of gamers as “Deer Messenger”.

But most players have certain difficulties with it, because not everyone knows how to enable XVM in World of Tanks, and all because they do not adhere to the basic rule of reading the instructions before use.

The fact is that many online applications “XVM” are confused with a standard mod that needs to be downloaded and installed. "XVM" is an application that works interconnected with WoT online.

In this situation it is necessary

Go to the website of this modification and register using the login and password that are used to log into your WoT game account. This action is necessary, since you need to log into the site from the game application itself.

After this, you will be redirected to your gaming account.

The next step is to confirm your actions, after which a redirection to XVM will occur.

Now the solution to the main question of how to enable XVM in World of Tanks is very simple - you just need to select “Authorization”.

Finally, you need to go to your personal account settings and view all the new available settings. In order for the necessary statistical data to appear, it is necessary to make a mark in the empty box opposite each suitable item.

If you couldn’t view the statistics, then try to take part in a few more battles, then repeat all these steps

All this is completely free and in the future, no investment will be required.

This timer is intended for players who have changed their choice regarding WoT.

Since a large number of players are authorized in XVM and do not participate in subsequent battles, the online statistical application may simply freeze. When the timer finishes its countdown, you will need to log in again as at the very beginning, and again everything is free.

Multiplayer games are often covered with a wide variety of modifications. They serve to personalize the game client and make it as convenient as possible for a specific user. Therefore, on most servers, administrators enable the ability to use mods, but limit it by prohibiting the use of various radical modifications that could affect the gameplay. This means that you will be able to use only those mods that will somehow make the game easier for you, its perception, and so on, but will in no way affect your actions in the game or your opponents. In fact, it is quite difficult to determine the line; it is different for each game. This article will look at the example of the famous World of Tanks, as well as the most popular modification XVM, which is also popularly called “deer hunter”. Next we will look at what exactly it is, as well as how to activate the deer meter and how to use it.

What is XVM?

Before considering the most pressing question of how to activate the deer meter, you need to understand what it is. In fact, everything is quite simple - it is a set of modifications that allow you to add a lot of useful features to the game, such as extended battle ratings, performance over enemy tanks, various sights, and so on. Deer Meter allows you to select the features you like and disable those you find useless. But it’s worth noting that all the features of this mod are very useful in one situation or another, and its advantages are that you can choose what you need at any time, turning off what you don’t need in a particular situation. You can customize your client before each fight if you so desire. In general, this mod is now used by almost four million users around the world, and all of them are satisfied with the capabilities that the developers offer them. Now you understand what XVM is, and most importantly, how useful it can be to you. Therefore, now it’s worth moving on to the most important part - how to activate the deer meter?

Downloading and installing the modification

Don't worry - you don't have to search all over the Internet for this mod, since it has an official website. And if you are interested in how to activate the deer meter, then you will eventually have to turn to this site. But first you need to download the modification itself from it, and then install it in the game folder. These files contain everything you need to activate all the functions that the mod developers promise you. However, this will not be enough to use a reindeer meter. You still need to activate it, because for now it's just a set of files. But what do you need to do for this? How to activate the reindeer meter from Jove?

Personal account on the site

So, the first step to activating the reindeer tracker in World of Tanks is to create your personal account on the modification website. After that, you can go into it and perform all the necessary further actions there. There won't be that many of them, so don't be afraid of the big one that may appear in front of you when you enter your own office. You will need literally two steps to start using the mod. You know where to activate the reindeer meter - all you have to do is do it.

Activation

Now the most important moment for you has come - the activation of your modification. To do this, you will only need to press a single button, which is called “Activate services”. After clicking it, follow the instructions that will be indicated on your screen, and everything will be completed successfully. Then you will be just one small step away from starting to use all the extensive functions of the reindeer meter.

Selection of services

So, you have activated the services, and now the modification is available to you when you start the game. However, it has no effect on your client - why? The fact is that you did not take the last and very important step. In your personal account on the XVM mod website, you need to go to the settings and there manually activate those services that you would like to use, as well as disable those that you do not like. After that, you can safely go to World of Tanks and enjoy how you modified your client. Naturally, you may need a little time to find the configuration that is most convenient for you, since a large number of mods, each of which can be useful, creates a huge variety of variations, and all of them are worth trying out in battle to understand whether it is really so effective , and whether in fact it has become much more convenient for you to control the tank or calculate statistics. However, the effort is worth it - the result will be truly impressive.
