If Apple reduces the thickness of the iPhone and uses a lighter OLED display, it may well be able to use a heavier material for the case, which will not affect the overall weight of the gadget.

Several sources stated at once that the new generation iPhone will be presented in three sizes - 4.7, 5 and 5.5 inches. There is no consensus yet on whether all models will be “glass” or whether this material will be used only for the premium gadget.

Thinner and lighter

At least one model of the next iPhone will feature a bendable, high-definition OLED display. This is evidenced by Apple's agreement with Samsung, which is one of the largest manufacturers of such LED screens.

It is reported that Samsung will provide 40 million OLED displays to Cupertino residents in 2017 and will become the sole supplier, as smaller companies AU Optronics, Japan Display and Sharp do not meet the deadline.

Perhaps, along with a bendable display, another dream of fans of Apple products will come true - wireless smartphone charging. The company is developing new technology that allows you to charge a device at a long distance from a charging station.

So far, some problems stand in the way of engineers: for example, signal deterioration, if suddenly the distance between the transmitter and receiver is increased, which will affect the charging speed.

But Apple is clearly not going to stray from this path, if we recall the abandonment of the standard headphone jack and the appearance of the AirPods wireless headset on sale.
