Darkorbit mobs. Review and descriptions of Dark Orbit alien ships. Killing mobs in the port

Every time you enter the game you will be taken to the main page. On it you can see several advertisements: Happy Hour, Mega Hour, Jackpot, Football Promotion, and Login Bonus. But more on them a little later.

Home (which is what we are studying), Hangar, Trades, Skylab, Clan, URI (payment section), Quests, Help, Exit, “Very soon”, Pilot Dossier and Store.

We also see some data:

Player ID – your ID will be indicated here
Experience – everything is clear here, your experience will be displayed
Level – all the more clear
JackPot - you'll find out a little later
Credits are the game currency; you can use it to buy only budget ammunition, shields, engines, the Flax droid and a number of other things. You can also win elite items at auction (more on that later).
Uridium is the unique currency of the game; it can only be used to buy 3 elite ships and all other elite items.

Urgent news.

You can simply click on one of the 7 icons and the full version of the news will appear in front of you.

For example, we clicked on the very first icon and this window appeared in front of us. It contains a brief description of P.E.T. 10 (a very recent update, just for May 18, 2011). Naturally, we are offered to go to the hangar to buy it, but we shouldn’t do it yet.

Player info.

Naturally it says:
Your nickname.
The server you are playing on.
Your rank.
Do you have premium or not (more on that a little later).
Your level in the game.
The company you play for (There are only 3 companies, EIC - Earth, MMO - Mars and VRU - Venus, they are at enmity with each other and don’t be surprised if you are destroyed by some player from these companies, the players of your company can also destroy you, but this is rare), The map you are on (each company has 8 maps, Mars is 1, Earth is 2 and Venus is 3)
What number are you playing from? Then comes “Change data”.

Logbook.

It shows everything: the purchase of ammunition or something else, who you destroyed, who destroyed you, what quest you completed, what reward you received, almost everything. Except: sale of resources, transfer of resources to the skylab or to the ship, how much uridium you received and loans.
So, click on “Full Logbook”.

Here, of course, you can see everything that happened to you (except for selling resources, sending resources to the skylab or to a ship, betting on auctions, collecting bonus boxes and how much uridium and credits you received.) Well, of course, if a lot of things happened to you , then everything won’t fit on one page.

Hall of Fame.

On the main page in the hall of fame, only the top 9 players are listed. Naturally, you want to find yourself in the hall of fame, let's click on “Entire hall of fame”.

Your stats are shown here:
Hello, your nickname in the game
Your current position in the ranking: your position in the ranking
You have gained so many experience units and so many honor units.
Your current level: your level in the game
Ships destroyed by you: you have 0 destroyed ships so far, destroyed aliens: how many mobs have you destroyed (more on them a little later)
You are not a member of more than one clan (naturally, when you join a clan or create your own, it will be indicated where the clan you belong to is in the ranking).
To see the rest: your rank, player rating, company rating, clan rating, you need to click on

A list will appear in front of you:

So, in this list we see:
My statistics are your statistics in the game, on the server you are on.
My current rank - here you can see what rank you have, how many rank points you have left until the next rank, statistics on mobs and destroyed ships.
Companies - company rating
Clan - clan rating
Top players - player rating
Experience - ranking of players by experience gained
Honor - rating by earned honor
Destroyed ships - rating for destroyed ships.
Exterminated aliens - ranking by destroyed mobs
List of ranks - the best time to hold ranks.
TDM - rating for team deathmatch.
etc.

Hangar.

Let's start, an overview. You just see your ship, the characteristics of your ship, how many droids you have. Droid characteristics:

Latest characteristics of P.E.T.10:

As you can see you have neither droids nor P.E.T.
When you have them, the droids' experience and damage will be shown, as well as the droids' stats, 10%/20% (this is the maximum and only for Iris droids).
Note: The droid's indicator shows what kind of improvement the droid gives in terms of damage if it has a laser (lower number) or shield energy (higher number).

Armament.

Ship's armament:

Droid weapons:

P.E.T. weapons:

Here you can arm your ship, your droid, your P.E.T., also here you can sell things you don’t need (for example, you replaced the MP-1 laser with an LF-3 and you want to sell MP-1)

Attention: when you want to sell something, look at what exactly you are selling and think about whether you need it.

Note: the inventory of the ship and the droid is the same. You can simply put on the droid: an addition, shields and a weapon (a rocket launcher is not installed). You can configure 2 configurations on the droid and on the ship.

Expanded hangar.

From April 3, 2012, you have the opportunity to have multiple ships at your disposal. Maximum 10 ships.

After purchasing a ship or after winning a ship, you will have a choice: Wait some time in order to accumulate uridium to expand the hangar or replace the current ship with one purchased or won at auction.

If you decide to replace the ship, then know that the old ship will be sold, and the new one will be put in the place of the old ship and it will be impossible to return it. Everything that was on your old ship will be moved to inventory.

In "Armament" you can configure configurations, and also, if you have additional hangars, you can change the ship. Also in the hangar there is a “Delete configuration” function, in this case all the weapons from your ship on one of the configurations will be moved to the inventory and you can put it all on another ship.

The hangar also has a ship sales function. In order to sell an unwanted ship, you need to click on the ship itself and then click on "Sell".

You can change the ship not only in the hangar, but also on the main page. You just need to pay attention to this button with a number:

This button shows which ship you currently have activated. Also if you click on the right arrow and then select the desired ship.

Shop.

Ships – here you can buy a ship for yourself.
Droids – here you can buy droids for yourself: Flax – for credits, Iris – for uridium
Weapons – Here you can buy one of the budget laser guns (for credits) or one of the elite guns (for uridium), you can also buy either a budget rocket launcher or an elite one.
Ammunition - everything is clear here.
Generators – here you can buy either engines or shields. There are also some budget generators, and some elite ones.
Addition – there are many processors there, there you can buy camouflage for your ship, there you can buy one of four repair robots
P.E.T./Mechanisms – here you can buy P.E.T., mechanisms for it are sold only when you have P.E.T.
AI protocols – also related to P.E.T.
Stimulants – you can purchase stimulants here.
Bonus: all stimulants cost 10,000 uridium, you don’t need to spend uridium on them. You will need them somewhere at level 15-16.
Designs – here they sell designs for the Vengeance and Goliath ships.

Auction.

Bidding lasts only 59 minutes 59 seconds. You can win elite items for credits. You just need to enter the amount you want to bet (enter the amount above “bet”) and press Enter or click “bet”.

Warning: do not place any bets in the first 10 seconds of trading, as well as in the last minute of trading.

Skylab.

In short, with the help of Skylab, players earn millions of credits and spend them on trades.
In Skylab you can purify "Seprom", this is a fairly powerful resource, it cannot be sold, but it can be enriched; if you enrich it for a gun, then for a certain number of shots the laser power will increase by 60%. If you enrich it for shields (engines cannot be enriched with Seprom) then for a certain amount of time the shield energy will increase by 40%.

Hi-tech factory

There are only 5 high-techs in high-tech:
Energy Transfer - Energy Transfer converts 10% of laser damage into durability, so your ship's durability is replenished.
Chain reaction - Chain reaction is needed to aim for max. 7 enemies closest to the target and deal damage to them with each hit, regardless of the shield (deals 10,000 damage, unnecessary high-tech in my opinion)
Shield restoration - Shield restoration instantly regenerates your ship's shield. (Restores 75,000 shield energy. Disables the special design skill Diminisher)
Combat robot repairman - restores 100,000 strength in 10 seconds.
Missile sight - Increases missile accuracy by 100% for 15 minutes

Upgrade items.

In this section you can improve your shield, rocket launcher, lasers and your droids.

Clan.

This section has 2 main subsections.
The first subsection is to join a clan, you can read about clans in this topic: link to topic. In short, this is a community of players who have their own goal. Some strive to become the top, others just want to help newcomers.
Note: if the clan you are a member of has started a war with some other clan, then you will have to fly even more carefully, since even the allies of the clan you are fighting with can destroy you.
The enemies of your clan are easy to identify when flying around the map, you probably noticed that almost everyone has a [clan tag] nickname, for example: Synthetics, if you come across a player with a red clan tag, then these are the enemies of your clan.

Company.

In this subsection you can change the company.
Note: when changing companies, you will be charged 5000 uridium and 50% honor. If your honor is in the minus, then they will not remove honor from you, but they will not increase it either.

URI(payment section).

This section has 3 subsections.
Let's start with the Banking subsection.
In this section you can buy uriduim, premium mode, bonus packages for real money. By clicking on “Top up your account” or “Premium account” or “Bonus package”, this window will open:

6 payment sections:
“Game Currency” - Here you can purchase uridium for real money.
“Premium” - Here you can buy either a silver premium (valid for 6 months) or a gold premium (valid for 1 year).
“Bonus Packages” - Here you can purchase bonus packages for real money.
“Starter kits” - Here, for real money, you can purchase starter kits (in my opinion, the most unnecessary section of payment, the benefits of these starter kits = 0)
“Economy” - here you can purchase economy packages for real money, just hover over the name and you will see the advantage of this or that economy package.
“Ship designs” - designs for goliaths, the cost of each unique design is 250,000 uridium, in this payment section you can purchase these designs for real money.

Benefits of premium mode:
Quick exit in 5 seconds!
Cargo compartment capacity +500 units!
5% discount on all items for uridium!
Free spaceship repairs!
50% discount on droid repairs!
Automatic resource enrichment!
2 times more efficient robot repairman!
Access to all the benefits of the Radar processor!
Reloading rockets twice as fast!

Balance.

This subsection shows your game balance. There are records of how you received uridium and credits, and how you spent them.

Quests.Tasks

Here you can take on one of the presented quests. Quests can be easy or difficult. Remember, well-paid quests are difficult.

Tests.

This section just tests your skills, there are some quests, but they don’t give you a reward. This section just boasts: “And I’m in 3rd place in this test, and you’re only in 10th place.”

Special quests.

(As you noticed there are no special quests now).

Here, special quests are rarely given and only on special occasions; they can be both complex and simple, but the reward for them, compared to ordinary ones, is quite decent.

Help.

By clicking on this section, the following window will appear in front of you:

GalaxyGates.

This is the favorite section of all players. Here you can materialize uridium into: cartridges (starting from x2), xenomit, repair coupons, parts of GG ports, additional strength and into log disks. The cost of one such materialization is 100 uridium. In bonus boxes you can find additional energy for GalaxyGates, you also get it for entering the game.

Pilot's file. Profile.

Here you can place your information, your status. It is not known when you will be able to add an avatar and you will be able to see the profiles of other players.
Here you can find out the statistics of the clan, as well as your own (especially you can see how long you have been in the game).

Your profile.

Do you want to look at your profile or do you want to look at the profile of other players?
Here you can find out something about other pilots, you can also add them as friends (just for fun).

Achievements.

Did you all want competition? Did you want prizes for this or that gaming achievement? Then meet the new feature, “Achievements.

Skill tree.

In short, this is what everyone calls DP. Here you can upgrade one of the skills, maximum you can upgrade 50 skills.
Skills can be upgraded if only you have a sufficient number of progress points, money, and seprom (more on resources later).
DP has already become the most important thing in leveling up a player to the pro level.

Friends and bonuses.

If you're bored without friends, invite them.
To do this, you need to know their email addresses. In total, you can invite a maximum of 10 friends per day. Send an invitation to your friend’s email and if he follows the link, registers in the game and reaches level 7, then you will be given a bonus for a friend: 5 log disks, 5 repair coupons.
Note: for 25 friends you get a design for the goliath, orange. To be honest, this design is useless, it is just for the beauty of the goliath.

Bonuses in the game.

This is how you see them in the Pilot's Dossier:

This is how you see them when you enter the game:

Bonuses are the most pleasant thing in the game, you log into the game for 5 days in a row and they give you, in turn:
1 day: 10,000 credits and 50 PLT-2026 missiles
Day 2: 300 MCB-25 ammunition (the store costs 0.5 uridium, they are called “boots” in the game) 25,000 credits
Day 3. 250 SAB (takes the enemy’s shield and gives it to you), 50 PLT-2021 (powerful missiles, 4000 damage for one of these)
Day 4 250 MCB-50 (good ammo, they are called "green" because of the visual effect), 1 repair coupon.
Day 5 and beyond (if you log into the game every day without missing a single day) 200 uridium and 1 log disk.
Simply put, these bonuses are such a good freebie.

Mail.

On January 19, 2012, in-game mail was introduced. Now you can send various news and offers to join the clan to your friends in the game. You can discuss the conditions for joining a clan without going into the game itself or into the chat.

Ranks in the game.

Let's just say that this ranking system shows how difficult a player is to destroy. Generals are the hardest to destroy, simple pilots are easiest.

Rank calculation system.

The absolute value of rank points is calculated once a day using the formula:

1. + Experience / 100,000
2. + Honor / 100
3. + Level* 100
4. + Days from registration * 6
5. + Your ship type (Phoenix=1, ..., Goliath=10) * 1000
6. + Ships shot down before the new system was introduced * 3
7. + Aliens killed before the new system was introduced / 2
8. + Shot down ships after introducing a new system depending on the type of ship * 3
(Phoenix=1, Yamato=2, Leonov=4, Defcom=6, Liberator=8, Piranha=10, Nostromo=12, Vengeance=16, Bigboy=14, Goliath=20)
9. + Shot down aliens after introducing a new system depending on the type / 2
(Streuner=1, Lordakia=1, Saimon=2, Mordon=2, StreuneR=2, Sibelonit=3, Kristallin=3, Devolarium=4, Sibelon=5, Lordakium=6, Kristallon=8, Cubikon=10, Protegit =3, StreuneR=2,)
(Bosses count *4, UBER count *8)
10. + Completed quests * 100
11. - downed ships of your company * 100
12. - number of times you were shot down by enemies (players) * 4
13. - deaths due to radiation * 8
14. - downed phoenixes of other companies * 2

Minimap:

The scale near the minimap (on the left) is the protection of beginners. It only acts on x-1 and x-2. If there are only 1-2 yellow scales on it, then you should fly on the map with extreme caution. If there are more than 3 and the scale is already orange, then it's better to sit in a safe zone.

Negative Honor:

If you have a negative honor, then instead of a rank you will have such a target. This means that if someone from your company destroys you, then he will not get anything for it. (Well, for the downed ships of your company you earn experience, -credits, -honour, -rank)

Quick panel:

The quick panel just helps you in battle with launching missiles, launching some processors.

Chat:

Here you can chat with players and ask questions from chat moderators.
Note: the chat has its own rules, please follow them. You can view the chat rules in this topic: Chat rules for RU servers

Selling resources:

You can sell resources on maps x-1, x-8 and 5-2.

Star map.

The difference between the bottom and the top is significant. On the bottom maps, you can be attacked from both sides, from x-3 and x-4. On the top maps, only from one side, from x-5. On the top maps, the most “profitable” aliens live (they are called mobs for short), but they are also the most dangerous. On the top and bottom there are pvp maps, on each there is no safe zone, but only on 4-5 there is a safe zone, but only for 15 seconds. On pvp maps, if on you attacked, there is no way to teleport.

Types of resources:

Promethium:: map x-1, x-2. In all mobs. In skylab
Endurium: Map x-1, x-2, x-3. In all mobs. In skylab

Terbium: map x-2, x-3, x-4, in all mobs, starting with Lordakia. In Skylab
Duranium: in all mobs starting with Simons. In Skylab

Promethys: in all mobs, starting with Simons. In Skylab

Promerium: In all mobs, starting with Mordons. In Skylab
Seprom: Skylab, and also in mobs with GG Epsilon and Zeta.
Xenomit: in boss mobs, starting with boss lordakia. In uber mobs, as well as in some mobs with Invasion Gate and GG Zeta/GG Epsilon

Palladium: This resource is located on maps 5-1 and 5-3 in the ionic fields, so collecting it in camouflage is impossible, and on many game servers it is even extremely dangerous. This resource can only be exchanged on map 5-2, 15 units. palladium = 1 additional energy for GG.

Ship repair.

There are 5 types of repair robots in the game:
REP-1

Completely restores the ship's hull in 165 seconds.

Cost 10,000 kr.

Completely restores the ship's hull in 120 seconds.
In each configuration, an item of a given type can only be used once.
Cost 2.000 ur.

Completely restores the ship's hull in 105 seconds.
In each configuration, an item of a given type can only be used once.

Completely restores the ship's hull in 90 seconds.
In each configuration, an item of a given type can only be used once.
Cost 20,000 ur.

Combat robot repairman.

In activity mode, the combat repair robot restores 10,000 units per second. ship strength. In addition, it is designed specifically for use in combat environments, so it operates smoothly even when surrounded by deadly laser beams.
Unlike other repair robots, this repair robot is disposable, just like all other high-tech items.

For a complete repair, you will have to go into the game and launch the repair robot there.

Ship repair on the map.

Now you can repair your ship directly on the map.
How to do it? Everything is very simple. When you are leaked, this window will appear on the screen:

The nickname of your offender will be shown here (in this case, radiation, deliberately leaked), the cost of repairing the ship. In order to repair the ship, you will need to click "Apply repair coupon" or "Free", "200URI"\"700URI" or "300URI"\"800URI".

"Free"\"500URI" - in this case you will repair your ship and find yourself at your home base.
Note: in this case you will only have 1000 units of strength

"140URI\190URI\200URI"\"700URI" - In this case, you will repair your ship and find yourself near the nearest port.
Note: in this case, you will only have 1000 units of strength; they will not be able to attack you for 10 seconds, but if you launch an attack, the safe zone will be removed for you.

"210URI\285URI\300URI"\"800URI" - in this case, you will repair your ship and instantly find yourself at the place of your drain.
Note: in this case you will only have 10% strength.

After this, you will find yourself at your base\at the port\at the place of your drain. Then everything is the same as with a simple repair:
For a complete repair, you will have to launch a repair robot.

Now you will have to wait for some time until the complete repair of your ship is completed.

Some questions about the game:

What is honor for?
- Honor is needed for rank and for the cost of resources.

Why can't you sell seprom or xenomit?
- These are priceless resources in the game, so they cannot be sold

I'm going through the GG port and it started to lag, what should I do?
- There is a special script for returning ports; if there was a failure on the server, the script will return your lives. But in most cases, lags occur due to the provider, and in this case, returning life to the port is not provided. And there is no need to write to support and forum, you will be given a similar answer.

In Skylab, the warehouse is not replenished with xenomit, what should I do?
- Don’t do anything, the xeno-module produces synthetic xenomit, it is only suitable for promerium.

Why is xenomit needed at all?
- Xenomit is extremely important for some processors.

One of the answers says that honor is needed for the value of the promerium, that is, you can endlessly increase the price of the promerium like this?
- No, the limit is 1000 credits for 1 promerium. In order for the cost of promerium to become 1000 for 1 stone, you need 500,000 honor.

I was in camouflage, and the enemy destroyed me, how?
- You are not visible on the map itself, but you are visible on the minimap.

Ways to kill NPCs

"""1. Waltz spinning ."""

This method is used against all mobs away from the port and safe zone. It is done like this:

We grab the mob and fly away from it a little further, at shooting distance;

Now, shooting at it, we begin to circle around it at high speed, clockwise or counterclockwise, as is convenient for you. If everything is done correctly, the mobs will stop shooting at you, and your shields will begin to recover after a certain period of time;

If, after all, the mob starts shooting at you or suddenly stops and is shooting at you with all its might, then just fly a little further and continue circling around it;

When circling the “waltz”, you can use rockets along with shooting by holding the spacebar, but sometimes a glitch appears, the laser beams are not visible, although in reality shooting is being carried out and damage is caused to the mob. This is because you flew a little further than the range of the missiles, in this case just turn off and turn on shooting again (Ctrl);

This method can be used even in a crowd of mobs, since they also stop shooting at you or only shoot occasionally, thus, by destroying one mob and immediately grabbing another, you can destroy a much larger number of mobs in the same time than with other methods;

If you beat a strong mob in this way, for example Devolarium, Zibelon, Lordakium and Crystallon, then use a change of configurations ("C" key): when circling, speed-combat configuration, when finishing off, shield-combat configuration. Read about setting up configurations in the relevant topics.

"""2. Dragging along ."""

This method involves constantly moving away from the mob as it approaches, continuously shooting at it, thereby maintaining a certain distance between you and the mob. The fact is that each mob has its own firing range, but your ship’s range is still greater. In addition, with this method you can simultaneously collect bonus boxes around. Finishing off occurs in the same way as in all other cases.

"""3. Dragging through the port ."""

When fighting a strong mob, you can use the method of dragging through the port.
There are two ways: with a jump and without a jump. But first I’ll tell you what happens to the mob during such actions. When a mob approaches a safe zone and if at that moment you no longer shoot, although you hit him before, then he seems to “get sick”, losing his sight on you, which forces him to stop shooting and fly wherever his eyes are looking. During his “illness” you can hit him with all your might, but you should take into account that at any moment he can “recover”, and it is quite difficult to predict where he will fly. And now the methods themselves.

A) without jumping.
First, use the drag method, dragging it towards the port. When approaching it, you should turn off shooting and wait for the mob to approach the port. As soon as the mob starts running away from you and the port, turn on shooting again. You should try the exact time to stop firing in practice; sooner or later you yourself will understand at what point you need to turn off the firing. There is a big disadvantage to this method: while you stop shooting, some other player may start attacking your mob, which will ultimately lead to the mob switching to him. In my opinion, it is preferable to use the second method, with a jump.

B) with a jump.
At first, you also use dragging behind you, bringing the mob straight to the port. At the port, without turning off shooting, you jump into the port and immediately back, immediately press fire (Ctrl), catch up with him and continue to beat the already “sick” mob. When the mob “recovers,” you can repeat all this again.

Nuances:

Jumps should be done very quickly, without delay, otherwise your mob may be intercepted. For jumping, it is better to use the “J” hotkey;

This method is best used at the end of the battle with a mob, at the beginning using dragging behind you, and when it is almost “ready”, quickly use jumping and start finishing off the already “sick” mob.

"""4. "Catching" a mob from the crowd ."""

To grab one mob from the pile without losing a lot of health, you can use the mini-map navigation. It works like this: you fly a little further from the crowd, then using the mini-map you set a course that runs a little to the side and further from the movement of the mobs, and when you fly past them, take aim at one. Then beat him using one of the methods you have chosen.
There is another way. Also fly away from the crowd, aim your mouse at the corner of the screen where the mobs should appear. As soon as your mouse arrow has turned into a “hand”, click it and begin the attack.

Descriptions and characteristics of NPC alien ships in DarkOrbit

All maps of the DarkOrbit game universe hide certain dangers represented by the so-called NPC ships and warships of the Martian and Venusian corporations, which strive to make your life in space unbearable.

Aliens ( UFO) there are a total of 12 types in the game. Each type has ships of 2 classes: ordinary ship and Boss. Ships marked as Boss are equipped with heavier weapons and more powerful shields. For example -=[ Boss Streuner ]=- has four times more filling and combat characteristics than an ordinary ship -=[ Streuner ]=-. Same thing with -=[ Boss Kristallon ]=- And -=[ Kristallon ]=-, well, etc.
Each type of alien ship can only exist on certain maps. Each has different combat and vital characteristics: damage, strength, experience that you will receive by destroying it, behavior, speed of movement.

Streuner live on the first two maps, X-1 and X-2. They fly on Yamato ships, which you can also find in your hangar. Behavior Streuner passive. These are the most harmless aliens. They will not attack you until you take aggressive action against them. Streuner armed only with a laser. They have this habit of huddling around you and other players. Killing them won’t pose much of a problem even for the free Phoenix ship. Their flight speed is comparable to that of the Phoenix. Streuner deals 20 damage when attacking and has a strength of 800 units and a shield of 400 units. By destroying it, you will receive 400 experience, 400 credits, 1 uridium and 2 honor points. By picking up the box that drops after his death, you will receive 10 Promethium and 10 Endyrium.

(Lords or Loki)

Aggressive ufological object. Poses a danger to a poorly protected shuttle.

These UFO NPCs live on maps from X-2 to X-5. Their behavior is aggressive. They do not wait for your attack and attack themselves if they are not busy attacking another player. Their weapon is a homing missile similar to... that they fire. Dodge a rocket UFOLordakia you can't, but the further you are from the attacker, the less damage the rocket does to you. And at a great distance from UFO Lordakia there will be minimal or no damage at all. They fly UFOLordakia one at a time, but if they accumulate in one pile, then it poses a serious danger, especially for a weakly protected ship. Their speed is quite high. Their missiles deal 80 damage, but they themselves have 2000 durability and the same shield of 2000. For destruction Lordakia the player will receive 800 experience, 800 credits, 2 uridium and 4 honor. If you pick up the box, you also receive 20 units of promethium, endyrium and terbium.

You will find them on maps X-3 and X-4. Simon aggressive in most cases, but not always. As a rule, however, they attack without waiting for you to do so. They move at a fairly high speed. UFO They shoot the same way as the Lordicans, with homing missiles. They can form small flocks. They deal 250 damage and have 6000 durability and 3000 shield. By destroying Simon you will receive 1600 experience and 8 honor points. Replenish your piggy bank with 4 units of uridium and 1600 credits. By picking up the dropped load you will receive: 40 promethium, 40 endirium, 2 terbium, 2 duranium and 2 prometide.

Mordon fly on X-3 and X-4 maps. Mordons resemble a round box. The speed is low, but their shots are invisible, and they do decent damage. It’s difficult to call them aggressive, but it’s possible. UFO Mordons do not have a large damage radius, so in order to kill them with minimal damage to you, you need to shoot them from afar. Mordon deals 500 damage and has a shield of 10,000 and durability of 20,000. Killing him gives you 3200 experience, 16 honor, 6400 credits and 8 uridium. By picking up his cargo you will receive 80 promethium, 80 endirium, 80 terbium, 8 duranium, 8 promethyd and 1 promerium.

UFO Devolarium They fly only on the X-3 map. Devolarium speed is average. They deliver shots similar to clots of blue energy at a short distance of 1500 and have a durability of 100,000 and the same shield. For killing you will receive 6,400 experience, 32 honor, 51,200 credits and 16 uridium. It will not be easy to lift its cargo, since the cargo dropped from the mob weighs more than 300 units: 100 promethium, 100 endurium. 100 terbium, 16 duranium, 16 prometide and 2 promerium.

Speed UFO NPC Sibelon very small. They can be found on map X-4. They attack you without waiting for your attack. They shoot in the same way as devolars, clots of blue energy at a short distance. With their low speed they have a high paralysis ability of 3,000. Durability and Shield UFO Sibelon 200,000 each. Having killed such UFO, you get 12,800 experience, 64 honor points, 102,000 credits and 32 uridium. It will not be possible to lift its entire load with a medium-class ship: 200 promethium, 200 endurium, 200 terbium, 32 duranium, 32 prometide and 4 promerium. To destroy such a monster, you need to take advantage of its weak side - low speed and small radius of destruction.

Can be found on the X-5 map. They attack you without waiting for your attack. They shoot in the same way as devolars, clots of blue energy at a short distance. have a high lethality of 3175-4350. Strength and shield are 160,000 each. Having killed such UFO, you get 12,800 experience, 64 honor points, 102,000 credits and 48 uridium. It will not be possible to lift its entire load with a middle-class ship, because... its load is almost 2 times larger than Zib's: 400 promethium, 400 endurium, 400 terbium, 32 duranium, 32 prometide and 4 promerium.

Speed UFOLordakium high. They can be found on the X-5 map. They attack you without waiting for your attack. They have a very high lethality of 10,000-16,000. Strength is amazing 1,200,000 and shield 800,000. First, it is recommended to neutralize his shield, at the same time hammer him with missiles and you can use bombs. Having discharged the shield, you can finish off with lasers. Having killed such UFO, you get 102,400 experience, 512 honor points, 819,200 credits and 256 uridium. It will not be possible to lift its entire load with a medium-class ship: 32 promethium, 1200 endurium, 1200 terbium, 256 duranium, 256 prometide and 32 promerium.

Characteristic feature UFO NPC Kristallin is outright gregariousness. Snowflakes accumulate in snowdrifts of 5-10 and even 20 individuals. They can be found on map X-7. They attack you without waiting for your attack and deal 3600-4700 damage. Strength UFO Kristallin 200,000 and shield 160,000. Having killed such UFO, you get 25,600 experience, 128 honor points, 51,200 credits and 64 uridium. It will not be possible to lift its entire load with a medium-class ship: 400 promethium, 400 endurium, 400 terbium, 64 duranium, 64 prometide and 4 promerium.

Each player is given one main goal - to gain as much experience as possible at the initial stage and collect as many resources as possible. Most of all your actions will come down to fights with mobs, so in order for this time to pass as quickly as possible with maximum impact, we advise you to familiarize yourself with the basic techniques of fighting against mobs. In this guide, we described the main secrets of destroying mobs, which any player can use. We conditionally divided them into 4 groups, based on our own experience.

Tactics for killing mobs inDark Orbit– “Carousel”

The easiest and most effective way to kill enemy ships at the initial stage is to use a tactic called “carousel”. Its name literally describes the behavior of the player! When killing mobs, you must constantly be on the move, flying in a circle around them.

Typically, you first select a specific enemy ship to attack. You fly up to it to be noticed and fly away a short distance. Start cutting circles around the mob and at the same time shoot at it, both from lasers and from cannons. If an enemy ship hits you, then fly even further, continuing to cut circles.

The fact is that in Dark Orbit the mobs do not have high power and shoot at a relatively short distance. You, even in the initial ships, have guns by default that are much larger than the distance indicators. All that remains is to choose the gap that will be between you and the mob and cut circles. It is important! If you stop, the enemy ship will launch a full-scale attack on you. If you are constantly on the move and at the same time moving in a circle, then the mob will simply stop shooting, and you can quickly restore protective shields.

And don't forget to alternate your ship's configuration when attacking. This is a very important point, especially if the battle is against Zibelon or Crystallon (examples of strong bosses).

Effectively destroying mobs by retreating

The next most effective tactic is retreat. Moreover, oddly enough, it intersects with the “carousel” tactic. You must destroy all mobs only from a distance, while taking into account which mob is against you. Some ships have a higher rate of fire and range, others have a lower one. Accordingly, a certain distance is selected for each mob.

If a mob flies towards you, fly back. In Dark Orbit, you can do this in reverse, while shooting at enemies with targeted fire.

DarkOrbit: Tactics for killing mobs in the port

This is a separate tactic that interacts directly with the port. Your main task is to drag the mob into the port, so to speak, to press it “in the corner” in order to quickly kill it and take all the resources. But there are several pitfalls here, although not particularly significant:

  1. It is not always easy to drag an enemy ship into port;
  2. Sometimes in the port the mobs will kill you faster than you.

Tactics are also divided into 2 methods: using jumping and attacking without jumping. We will look at each of them in detail.

Killing mobs with a jump. Choose any mob and fly up to it, forcing them to pay attention to your ship. Next, fly to the port, while shooting at the ship. As soon as you fly into the port, you immediately fly out of there by holding down the J key (acceleration when jumping). Here it is worth considering the fact that the mob can have a full level of protection. And if you drag him to the port with 80-100% health, then there is a high probability of losing the battle. We advise you, before luring a mob to the port, make it fly after you and destroy half of the defense.

Killing mobs without jumping. The tactics, in principle, are not very different from the previous one, but for beginners it will be somewhat easier. You lure the mob to the port, while constantly shooting at it. As soon as the port is near you, immediately stop shooting. At this moment the enemy ship will begin to retreat. Immediately activate the lasers and launch an attack on the mob. Repeat several times until the ship is destroyed!

Destruction of mobswith one-on-one tactics

The tactics described below can be combined with all the others, so be sure to use them for effective passage at first. Your main task is to pull one out of a bunch of ships and tear it away from the main mass, so that you can quickly kill it. Select mobs on the map and fly up to them so that the flight path passes to the side of them. You fly up to the enemy ship at such a distance that it notices you, and begin to lead you. Next is a matter of technology. Choose any of the three tactics described above and the job is done!

I often see how many players struggle with destroying aliens (mobs). So I decided to write some ways for beginners to beat these same mobs. I want to say right away that I in no way take credit for the authorship of these methods, I only generalized and combined into one whole the entire experience and posts of other respected players.

----
"""1. "Parking". """

You find and “grab” a mob (alien), drag it to the port or next to it (you can park in the entire security zone). Then, you force the mob to stop next to you, at this moment damage is dealt to you, so you need to arm yourself well with shields. After the mob has stopped, carefully move away to the right, left or back from it until it is almost beyond the edge of the game screen. The message “You have escaped the attack” will start to pop up, although the mob’s shots will still hit your ship, but will no longer cause damage, so keep an eye on your ship to catch this moment. As soon as you stand in this place, you should stop, stand and continue to beat the mob. When he has only a little strength left, he will run away, all that remains is to finish him off. When finishing off, you can walk strictly behind him at a distance and shoot; if you select the distance successfully, the mob will not shoot back.

1. You can park all mobs except Lordakium (jellyfish, dumplings), Crystallons and Cubecons.

2. You can start learning to park even on a “dropper” with Lordacia, and if you are on a “Nostroma”, then on a Simon, or even on a Devolarian.

3. While parking, your shields are restored, and there is a chance that you will take a short nap if the repairman processor is installed.

4. Please note that when parking, you are removed from the security zone, which means you can be attacked and assaulted.

5. If, when parking, you move away from the mob a little more than necessary, the mob will move away and you will have to park again

"""2. Waltz spinning. """

This method is used against all mobs away from the port and safe zone. It is done like this:

We grab the mob and fly away from it a little further, at shooting distance;

Now, shooting at it, we begin to circle around it at high speed, clockwise or counterclockwise, as is convenient for you. If everything is done correctly, the mobs will stop shooting at you, and your shields will begin to recover after a certain period of time;

If, after all, the mob starts shooting at you or suddenly stops and is shooting at you with all its might, then just fly a little further and continue circling around it;

When circling the “waltz”, you can use rockets along with shooting by holding the spacebar, but sometimes a glitch appears, the laser beams are not visible, although in reality shooting is being carried out and damage is caused to the mob. This is because you flew a little further than the range of the missiles, in this case just turn off and turn on shooting again (Ctrl);

This method can be used even in a crowd of mobs, since they also stop shooting at you or only shoot occasionally, thus, by destroying one mob and immediately grabbing another, you can destroy a much larger number of mobs in the same time than with other methods;

If you beat a strong mob in this way, for example Devolarium, Zibelon, Lordacium and Crystallon, then use a change of configurations ("C" key): when circling, speed confit, when finishing off, shield confit. Read about setting up configurations in the relevant topics.

"""3. Dragging around. """

"""4. Dragging through the port. """

Jumps should be done very quickly, without delay, otherwise your mob may be intercepted. For jumping, it is better to use the “J” hotkey;

This method is best used at the end of the battle with a mob, at the beginning using dragging or parking, and when he is almost “ready” quickly use jumping and start finishing off the already “sick” mob.

----
I told you about some ways to beat mobs, but everyone can add something of their own to these actions. Very often, the game uses a mixed set of all these methods: first, dragging, with elements of a “waltz,” then parking or jumping over the port... In a word, each player acts in accordance with a specific situation.
I hope the descriptions of all these methods will help many newbies to the game.
