Luxvk.com has, perhaps, only one drawback - it only downloads music from your page. So if you want to download a track that is not in your list of audio recordings, add it to yourself first.

Kissvk.com

The service is almost identical to Luxvk.com. More precisely, it is even more concise and simple: apart from the function of downloading and searching for music on your page, it does not contain anything, not even a player. If you want to listen to the song before downloading, you will have to go to the VK website.

Music.ya.wiki

– a multidisciplinary music service. It is a large collection of recordings of various genres and artists with the ability to listen online, as well as download to your computer and mobile device. Downloading music from VKontakte is one of its functions.

To upload compositions from your VK account to the Music.ya.wiki website, just log in to the social network through it and allow access to the recordings. There is also no option to download multiple files at the same time.

If you look through the eyes of the user, it is a complete analogue of the previous add-on.

In contrast to extensions for Google Chrome, applications for Android that would actually download music from VKontakte after all the “troubles” with copyrights are literally a thing of the past. I managed to find only 2. I present them below.

In general, “Music from Contact” copes well with its tasks, but some of its features irritate users. Among them are suddenly pop-up advertising banners, clicking on which activates paid subscriptions, as well as a limited number of downloadable songs (maximum 100).

Moosic

Moosic is the second free application for downloading music from VK to your Android mobile device. Published by Mail.Ru Group. It has richer functionality than “Music from Contact”. Among its functions:

• Uploading “Top of the Week” songs with the ability to add them to a playlist for listening and to your VK page.
• Uploading tracks from the user account with the ability to download to the device, as well as listen online and offline through the built-in player.
• Creating and downloading playlists – not only your own, but also ready-made ones.

• Pauses melody playback for a specified time (sleep timer).

To download a track saved in your VK account, open the tab marked with a heart in Moosic (this is the “My Audio Recordings” section) and tap the download button. To download a song that is not on your list, for example, from the Top of the Week or found through a search, first tap the “+” button next to it and add it to the “My Tracks” playlist. Then go to the tab of your audio recordings and click the download button.

Unfortunately, the Moosic app is no longer available on Google Play. I couldn’t find an official source where you can download it without fear of catching something malicious. However, it is easily found on many web resources on the Internet.

I am writing primarily for those who want to change the code for themselves.
The program uses Virtual Treeview and Indy.
untPLSparser.pas - PLS file parser. There is only one function in the module interface:

This whole thing is converted into another TMusicList array described in untDownloadList.pas.
TMusicList consists of TMusicItem and is needed to store information about the download status, as well as any errors that have occurred.

The download is started via TfrmMain.RunFreeDownload in untMain.pas.
First, we get the index of the record that needs to be downloaded using the TfrmMain.GetFreeItem method. Then we check if we have the option to skip files, then we look to see if there is such a file, and if there is, we skip it.

DLProgress, DLError, DLComplete, DLTerminate events arrive where we actually update information in TMusicItem, start a new download or report an error.

Download threads work as follows.
After creation, the thread waits for the download task in a loop:

If something goes wrong, but we can process it correctly and continue working, we process it and file the undownloaded file. If an exception occurs in a thread that we cannot handle (for example, AV), then according to the standard mechanism, the thread will be killed, and the FatalException will contain the exception object. Therefore, in untMain.pas I handle OnTerminate, check the thread exception object, and if it exists, then I throw the exception in the main thread.
