If you want to build a boat, go ahead. You Must Build a Boat puts you on a tiny boat with a skeleton and a zombie as your crew - but sooner or later, you get to captain your own cruise ship. Like 10000000, it's a fast-paced match-3 puzzle game where you have to match entire rows and columns instead of individual squares.

But you don't have much time as your explorer plows his way through a simple 2D dungeon at the top of the screen; you will have to put together combos with superhuman strength to help him resist the huge variety of monsters (which you will one day be able to recruit into your team). Don't worry, you won't want to walk on the plank.

Genre: Adventures

We've previously rated Machinarium highly, even calling it one of the best steampunk games ever released, and we still stand by our previous recommendations. In addition to an interactive and slick touch interface that makes the point-and-click system work flawlessly, the dirty and brutal world of Machinarium gives you an immediate sense of place.

Just one look at this rough but beautiful world, and you begin to sympathize with the little robot hero, lost in this wasteland and searching for his beloved robot girl. This is one of those games that completely engages you and makes you want to put on a top hat with bells and whistles. Incredible work by Amanita Designs. And yes, you will be very, very drawn in.

On paper, Super Hexagon sounds simple enough: your goal is to safely guide your cursor through a tunnel of different shapes (like hexagons, for example). Each figure has a gap somewhere, and by placing the cursor in it, you successfully avoid instant destruction, without any problems continuing to enjoy the fiery techno soundtrack. But, almost immediately, everything goes off the rails. The screen begins to shake, colors change, and figures fly towards you faster and faster. This is definitely a “just one more time” game, so be careful.

There have been countless sequels, clones, and even a first-person shooter, but PopCap's original tower defense game is as pure and perfect as ever. Tell us in the comments which games you think should be in this selection, and we will definitely add your suggestions to it!

Mobile games have come a long way from simple entertainment, like guessing the word in the “Field of Miracles”, to narrative games created specifically for Android and iOS devices. We've rounded up the best mobile phone games to show you a few that have been released over the past five years.

Here are the best mobile games according to TehnObzor

Alto's Adventure

Alto’s Adventure is an incredibly beautiful and interesting game. I've played many games about snowboarding, but none of them were so addictive with their beautiful graphics, weather changes, and locations.

Along the way, you will escape from escaped avalanches, jump over rocks, abysses, and also do various tricks on a snowboard. The product takes us to the beautiful world of the Alpine hills with different weather conditions.

The game is really interesting, and most importantly, it has levels and tasks that you must complete.

The musical accompaniment also does not disappoint and adds even more atmosphere. And if, for example, you play with a headset, it will be a bomb. I advise everyone to play Alto’s Adventure. Its weight is quite small, and on Google Play it is distributed completely free of charge.

Hidden Folks

Hidden Folks is a new hidden object game available for Mac, PC, Linux and Apple devices.

Its essence is that in order to complete a level (and there are at least 15 of them), you must find hidden people (or objects) in hand-drawn locations. Each level contains up to hundreds of hidden objects and almost 200 unique interactions. You can touch every painted bush or pebble; even if you poke it somewhere at random, you can find a whole bunch of hidden objects.

This is an amazing and fun indie game that is relaxing and mindful at the same time. I would recommend Hidden Folks to anyone who wants to stretch their brains without too much fuss. Considering how challenging each level is, you'll want to play this on a tablet rather than a phone.

Ridiculous Fishing

Ridiculous Fishing in Russian sounds like - Ridiculous fishing. In the game, we play the role of a fisherman named Billy, who, apart from hitting fish with a shotgun and waving a fishing rod, can’t do anything else. All that is required from the player is the absence of trembling hands, because the product requires very precise control of the accelerometer.

The gameplay itself is very simple, we cast a fishing rod and while the hook and bait sink to the bottom of the sea-ocean, we try to avoid collisions with fish. Once the fish is hooked, it must be quickly pulled to the surface.

Then, in the process, you become a witness to a real extravaganza. The fish, subject to the force of inertia transmitted from the rod, beautifully flies into the air, where Billy shoots it from all on-board guns.

The Ridiculous Fishing toy turned out to be simple, but at the same time very fun and addictive.

Lara Croft Go is Square Enix Montreal's best work to date. The entire game world is connected here, it is a giant temple containing many rooms that need to be explored and explored in order to find the keys and get to the ancient artifact, which is the main goal.

The game consists of 5 chapters, including 75 missions, which differ from each other in both visual aesthetics and obstacles. There are no restrictions on the number of steps in Lara Croft Go. The levels consist of large locations, which gives a sense of freedom and dynamic events.

An important feature of this game is the presence of hidden treasures in locations that can be very difficult to find. Treasures allow you to unlock various artifacts. My impression of the product is purely positive. The game is really addictive, otherwise it would not have made it to the top of the best mobile games.

Neko Atsume

The plot of Neko Atsume is quite simple. You need to buy furniture, toys and cat food to attract more fluffy and beautiful cats to your yard. Sometimes cats behave unpredictably. It doesn't sound very exciting, but after playing it for a while, your hands will instinctively reach for your phone to check if any new furry has dropped by.

Here you can also expand your yard and reconstruct your house in four different styles. You can take pictures of cats to share with friends online. Throughout the game you will meet different individuals, some of them are not exactly cute, there are also rare breeds, and sometimes unexpected ones - for example, similar to a cat.

The Neko Atsume toy is shareware, however, during the game you can purchase various advanced options for an additional fee.

1979 Revolution: Black Friday

1979 Revolution: Black Friday is a mobile adventure game that is based on real events and eyewitness accounts. The action takes us to Tehran before 1979. We will have to embody the image of a photojournalist in the late 70s in Iran, documenting the unrest and political upheaval that occurred there.

The game's start looks promising, but in reality, both in terms of gameplay and graphical implementation, 1979 Revolution: Black Friday is a so-so product.

The entire game is divided into episodes. We have the opportunity to take part in some dialogues, but our decisions during these dialogues do not in any way affect the development of the plot. In my subjective opinion, the product turned out to be unfinished and without Russian localization.

Desert Golfing takes place in an endless desert where the player can control the golf ball and determine the direction and strength of the shot using one finger. The golf course is made of sand, which makes the physics of the ball unpredictable.

The goal of this game is for the ball to reach each hole in the fewest number of strokes. However, when this happens, Desert Golfing starts all over again. Thus, the game never ends, and the result in the end will depend solely on how long you play it.

Threes!

Logic game Threes! (Triples) invites you to connect numbers on a given playing field in order to score the maximum total number of points. You can only combine identical numbers with the exception of one and two. The combination of numbers also occurs in certain places - at the border of the playing field or near another number.

Control here is carried out by gestures in four directions, for example, an up gesture moves all the numbers up, and several new numbers appear on the field.

The meaning of Threes! is to get the largest number by the time there are no more possible moves left. The interface is quite simple, but at the same time very clear.

Monument Valley

The ship is built by going through the dungeon, collecting resources and defeating monsters. As the player progresses, a store appears where you can upgrade your character's attributes, select captured monsters as companions, and much more.

Minecraft for mobile

(7 Voice(s))

At the request of users, we decided to make for you a collection of the coolest games released on Android devices. Are you ready to have a lot of fun with the best applications? Some of them are available without access to the Internet, while for the rest you will have to maintain a constant connection to the network. The assembly is the author's. In our opinion, the following hits are worthy of the attention of everyone who just bought a phone or has been using it for a long time, but has not yet launched a single program. Let's start with the oldest and end with the newest hits.

It was released only 4 years ago, but still holds a confident top spot in Google Play. There will be dozens of popular characters to choose from, ranging from the famous Sub Zero to such new characters as the Predator or Jason, who came to us from the films of the same name. The gameplay is very simple, you do not need to remember all the combinations of attacks, as in the versions on PC and consoles, here you only need to accumulate a sufficient amount of energy and spend them on techniques. The downside is the donation system, but if you spend a little more time, you can upgrade all the fighters for free. Even owners of not very powerful devices will have beautiful graphics.

A hit back in 2010, which still remains relevant thanks to its revolutionary gameplay. This is a mixture of puzzle and action, where the main character is a boy wandering through dark locations, hand-drawn from scratch. The atmosphere here is unique; no other indie will bring you so much pleasure from playing through it. Recommended for those who love interacting with the environment and solving riddles of varying complexity. Performance is guaranteed on 99% of modern smartphones. Help the guy find his missing sister and beware of the traps that are here at every turn. If you lose, you will have to start from the last checkpoint.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

One of the best races of our time. It came out in 2012, but still has a decent online presence on the Play Store. There is an interesting storyline where you will start as an ordinary racer and earn money for new cars. You will have to defeat 10 bosses to take first place. But getting to each of them will not be easy, because along the way there will be dozens of different tasks, after completing which you will have access to the main participants. Management is fully customizable for each user. Choose one of the options you like: arrows, steering wheel or g-sensor. The graphics are a little dated, but will still be of interest to most gamers.

GTA: San Andreas

A legendary game worthy of seventh place in our top. Dedicated to everyone who was born in the 90s. Almost every third schoolchild had a computer that ran one of the most popular parts of the great car thief. After 10 years, Rockstar has finally ported it to mobile devices. If you have never played this masterpiece or want to repeat the passage, now there is such an opportunity. The controls are made as convenient as possible, but still do not reach the level of a PC. A hardcore mission with a helicopter will be much more difficult, so we recommend running the application together with the mod or with someone else’s saves if you fail to complete the task.

Sixth place is occupied by the most worthy RPG game, which will not leave indifferent even those who are not familiar with this genre. This hit has collected hundreds of the most significant awards and acquired two additions that increase the overall level and add several new locations. After a petition from the players, the developers finally took up the port. It was released at a very high level, and thanks to the 2017 graphics, it will remain relevant for at least 5 years. The controls have been completely redesigned for touch devices. Level up your character, make your own builds or search for current ones on Youtube, don’t be afraid to experiment and you can create a powerful hero with cool skills. We highly recommend everyone try it.

Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle

Our top five is opened by a horror story with puzzle elements, where you will play in an unusual role - not as a victim, but as the ripper Jason. She is unique of her kind. In each level you will have several moves during which you need to destroy the enemy. One wrong move and you will lose. There's no plot here, but it doesn't need one. As you progress, you will receive money and you can spend it in a special store, buying new weapons or accessories.

Shadowgun Legends

Remember Dead Trigger? The creators of this action game decided to release a new first-person game, which has already gained enormous popularity. This time you will have to conquer space, but in the company of friends, because a convenient and fast cooperative mode has been added, allowing you to connect with each other within a few seconds. Explore closed locations, kill enemies, knocking out the best weapons and armor. The graphics are made at the highest level and the gameplay is really high quality. Just the thing for shooter fans!

Asphalt 9: Legends

A new hit from the developers of the most popular racing saga. Feel the real adrenaline and speed in the best cars, including Lamborghini, Ferrari and even Porsche. The world is now much larger, it has been increased to 80 tracks of different types. The number of locations is not yet known, but about 20 or more are expected. Judging by the gameplay videos, the controls remain the same, the graphics have been much improved and correspond to modern technologies.

Last Day on Earth: Survival

A new product that captivated the world in the first hours after its release. The application that set its own style and genre "Survival + Zombies". Build your own house and strengthen it with the help of resources that can be found around. Make your own plantations, grow carrots, cook healing soup and restore your health after an attack by a crowd of walking dead. With each update, the game gets better and reaches a completely new level, gradually receiving the long-awaited multiplayer and cooperative mode. Once you try it, you will no longer be able to stop and will not look away from the gadget for a minute!

The hit that set a new direction “Battle Royale” has finally been released for Android devices. Meet the free mobile version and become one of the soldiers who jump from a parachute and must survive on one of several huge islands. Immediately after landing, look for equipment and weapons, get ahead of the enemy, capturing only the most important resources. Immediately after its release, many “clones” came out, which do not even reach the level of this masterpiece. Undoubtedly, the game deserves the first place of honor and is recommended to everyone without exception!
